From here you can walk to the apartment in 15 minutes, or you can take metro line 1 and get off at the Università stop which is about a 10-minute walk away (the Duomo stop is nearing completion). In about 10 minutes on foot, you can reach the Circumvesuviana station from which trains depart for the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum. The port from which ferries and hydrofoils depart for the islands of Ischia, Capri and Procida is about a 10-minute walk away.
