Owners live nearby, can provide assistance for reasonable requests. Bowden is a historic northern city fringe suburb, surrounded by parkland, close to golf course, and Torrens River. It is a quiet suburb, offering an eclectic mix of old and new housing, government offices and small industry. The Spotted Cow is close to coffee shops, farmers market, supermarket, bakery, Aussie pubs with live music, basketball and tennis courts, skate park, bocce court, bike paths. Ideal accommodation for Adelaide festivals. The Spotted Cow is five minutes drive or 20mins easy walk, to new Royal Adelaide Hospital, SAHMRI, University of Adelaide, Convention Centre, University of South Australia City West campus, Adelaide Oval, Tennis Centre and St Peters Cathedral, and 30 mins easy walk to University of South Australia City East campus. It is one train stop away from the city on Gawler or Port Adelaide railway lines (5 mins walk to each station), and 10 mins walk to free tram to City. Safe bike or walking to beach or hills on the nearby Torrens River bike path. The streets around the old Bowden area are very narrow, and there is limited available parking on Tenth Street. The local Council has recently responded to the parking challenge in the area by making the streets one way. The Spotted Cow has off-street parking that will fit two reasonably-sized cars. If you have trouble accessing the driveway during the working day, we can only but apologise, but please understand that there is nothing that we can do to improve matters as the street width and on-street parking availability is Council responsibility If it is any conciliation, most people who park their cars on the street have moved them by 4pm on week days, and there is usually no congestion on weekends.
