ALWAYS communicate plenty ahead of time, if you are late via SMS or mobile, if you want to avoid a nightmare! Please make sure you verify that I received the message, especially because foreign mobile phones often have problem with international SMS transmission. Other things to note Zurich is perhaps the most expensive city besides Oslo in the world. Don't consider coming to Switzerland on a budget as you probably won't enjoy it and feel ripped off. Within the Sihlcity shopping complex, there are cinemas, lots of shops open until 8pm, and a supermarket open until 9pm. However, I prefer the "Alima" grocery that is open until 8pm and a great butcher "Keller" that is open till 6:30pm at Manesseplatz, because I prefer to support smaller businesses and I feel that the quality is a lot higher and less expensive also. At night the area around Langstrasse is open past midnight and great for nightlife. Christmas to 1st week January is quite dead so I recommend Swiss mountains, Paris or Vienna!
