Description

Full-floor 2BR in historic 1870 brick building with creek & Mt. Beacon views, shared backyard oasis (covered lounges, fire pit, seasonal stream). Walk the scenic abandoned railway tracks alongside Fishkill Creek to Main St and the Roundhouse waterfall in 10 min. Interior and exterior by award winning Hudson Valley designer Simone Eisold. Two off-street parking spots. Ask about upgrading to the private patio with treetop hot tub & Mt. Beacon vistas! [Permit: 2024-0027-STR] The space Claim the entire top floor of this classic 1870 Hudson Valley brick building - a freshly renovated two-bedroom retreat with sweeping views of Fishkill Creek and Mt. Beacon. Experience the rare combination of historic charm, natural beauty, and walkable access to downtown Beacon. - The Space - This cozy apartment features a newly renovated kitchen and thoughtfully updated bathroom, furniture, and décor throughout. The full kitchen comes equipped with a full-sized stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker (with coffee, sugar, and creamer), plus all the cookware and dishes you'll need. The dining area centers on a solid wood expandable table with a built-in window seat bench and three chairs - the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee while gazing at the creek and mountain beyond. The living room offers two comfortable couches, a coffee table, and a brand-new 40" Roku TV for relaxing evenings. Both bedrooms are efficiently designed, each with a full/double bed, nightstands, and lamps. A generous closet provides ample hanging space, plus an iron and ironing board for your convenience. The compact bathroom features a window with those same beautiful creek and mountain views. - Seasonal Views That Transform - In summer, lush forest frames glimpses of Fishkill Creek and Mt. Beacon. In winter, when the leaves fall, the entire Mt. Beacon ridge reveals itself in dramatic fashion. - The Backyard - Your Creekside Sanctuary - Step into a different world. The shared backyard (newly built in 2024) feels like a private nature escape despite being minutes from Main Street. A covered pavilion features three built-in double-sized chaise lounges with custom cushions and a gas fire pit surrounded by seating for eight. A seasonal stream flows alongside the yard into Fishkill Creek, with views stretching across the water to mossy forest and the Mt. Beacon ridge. With no residential neighbors behind the property, this peaceful haven is largely yours to enjoy - perfect for morning coffee, sunset relaxation, or gathering around the fire. - Location & The Secret Path to Town - Here's what makes this location truly special: behind the property run abandoned railway tracks (future Beacon Rail Trail) alongside Fishkill Creek. Take the scenic 10-minute creekside walk directly to Main Street, The Roundhouse, and Beacon's famous waterfall. No need for a car - you'll arrive in the heart of Beacon's galleries, restaurants, and shops via one of the most beautiful walks in the Hudson Valley. Wildlife is abundant: deer pass through daily, blue herons glide over the water, and you'll spot hawks, ducks, songbirds, and various woodland creatures. Birders will delight in the diversity of species. - Upgrade Your Stay - Premium Patio with Hot Tub - Want to take your Beacon getaway to the next level? Ask about renting the private patio - an elevated outdoor sanctuary with even more spectacular views of Mt. Beacon and Fishkill Creek. This premium add-on features a hot tub, outdoor shower, spacious sectional sofa, large dining table with built-in seating, and a full outdoor bar with sink and mini-fridge. Perfect for romantic weekends, special occasions, or simply indulging in the ultimate outdoor relaxation. Not shown in listing photos - message me for availability, pricing, and photos. - The Best of Both Worlds - From the street, this is a charming historic building in a commercial street. Out back, you're immersed in nature with creek views, the sound of rapids, forest, and mountain vistas. It's a rare combination of privacy, natural beauty, and walkable urban convenience. - Booking Note - This apartment books quickly due to its views, location, and value. If you're seeing your dates available, you are in luck! Guest access The entire 2BR apartment is all yours. No other guests have access to any part of it. There are two outdoor spaces: 1) The BACK YARD. The back yard (seen in photos on this listing) features a covered seating area with 3 built-in, two-person chaise lounges and a gas fire pit. The seating area has views of Mt Beacon and access to the abandoned tracks on which you can walk to Main St. This space is alongside the house and has a small seasonal stream running through it. It's great for reading, relaxing, bird watching and nature viewing. The gas fire pit is for ambiance and heat, but not cooking. The back yard is open to guests in all 3 units of the building for free. 2) The PATIO. The patio (not shown in the listing photos) is a covered structure behind the house overlooking the abandoned tracks, Fishkill creek, and Mt Beacon. The patio has a dining area with built in seating, a sectional couch, a bar with a sink and mini fridge, an outdoor shower and a hot tub. This space is available *only by private reservation* at an ADDITIONAL COST. Message me for more info. Please do not attempt to access the patio unless you have reserved it. Behind the property there are abandoned railway tracks, a small forested wetland, and Fishkill creek. The tracks are all used by the general public - although the location and lack of neighbors makes it nearly private for my guests. There is an electric bike shop (sales and rentals) right next door. Many of my guests rent bikes from them to explore Beacon and the Hudson Valley. We are actively working on various landscaping projects in and around the outdoor spaces. At any given time you may see us working or evidence of ongoing work. Other things to note This apartment is the entire third floor of the building, which is on a major road. You will hear some amount of road noise from about 8am until 7pm. It's the trade-off of being so close to town. It gets much quieter after about 7pm.
