Description

Hidden Ubud Gem! Enjoy our brand-new Infinity Pool (measures 10 m x 4 m), which is shared by three cabins on our expansive property, including our cooking school. Our original Tresna Bali Cabin - a unique local treasure which we reassembled piece by piece in our garden and added a luxurious bathroom. You’ll experience village life waking up to roosters under intricate Balinese wooden rafters. If you prefer more privacy and spectacular views, book our Riverview or River Valley View cabin. The space Our original Tresna Bali Cabin is a stand-alone one-of-a-kind villa. Experience a simpler Bali - wake up to an uninterrupted view from your bed of the tropical jungle gardens. We fell in love with this unique teak and ironwood cabin when shopping for a door for our cooking school. And that was it! We had the entire wooden cabin dismantled and reassembled piece by piece behind our cherished rambutan tree. We added a luxurious custom bathroom to complete our dream hidden in a quaint Balinese village, 3.7 km from Ubud. Tresna Bali Cabins are perfect for those wanting to learn about authentic Balinese food and culture in an immersive setting at Tresna Bali Cooking School. Our original cabin sits beside our main cooking school and villa where we hold cooking classes each morning from 8:45 am - 2 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. You may hear us laughing and joking for 30 minutes on those mornings when we gather ingredients from Adi's garden to cook up a feast! Unwind and restore your body and soul with a healing spa massage in the privacy of your luxurious haven. Adi trained spa therapists in 5-star resorts for a decade. Our selected masseuses are experienced and well-guided by Adi's healing philosophy. Have a soothing bath in a standalone tub in a luxurious bathroom designed for your every comfort. Your stay includes a private terrace with an outdoor dining area and a custom-built day bed for two to lounge or read a book. Wander in Adi's unique garden to discover the flora, ancient spices, and ancestral jungle trees. The sacred Petanu River is 150 steps down the river valley where you’ll have the river to yourselves as we’re the only property with access. We're planning to have a riverside pool and spa in place by July 2024. We're located down a very narrow lane in an authentic Balinese village far away from tourists and crowds. This means there are no hip cafes or shops within walking distance, but we do serve amazing cappuccinos if you wish! For the more adventurous traveller, you can wander to the local morning market to buy fruit. We provide complimentary French press coffee, Indonesian tea, a toaster, and a good-sized fridge if you wish to stock up for your breakfasts. Hundreds of Ubud cafes deliver meals that you can enjoy on your private terrace. Our cooking school kitchen and dining room are not for guest use because it's our private home. Guest access LOCATION Our three Tresna Bali luxury cabins are dotted around our expansive riverside gardens, perched high above the sacred Petanu River. Our property, including the 3 cabins and our on-site cooking school, is tucked away down a narrow laneway at the edge of a traditional Balinese village called Bedulu, an authentic Balinese village, away from tourists and crowds, yet only 3.5 km from Ubud. Cars and small trucks can drive down the narrow laneway of 150 metres in total length. We highly recommend hiring one of the local village drivers who are familiar with our area, especially on the arrival day, when you have luggage. Some drivers unfamiliar with the area may be hesitant to go down the laneway. Please inform them that have a spacious parking area for them to turn their car around. GETTING AROUND Grab and Go-Jek drivers regularly drive here if they are from the Ubud area. You can easily and inexpensively book with Grab Car or Go-Jek scooters in and out of Ubud for about IDR 20,000-60,000 each way. VILLAGE AND JUNGLE LIVING For a more private stay, check out our Riverview and River Valley cabins. These two cabins are also on this property but have more privacy and spectacular river vallley views whereas our antique cabin enjoys garden views and is closest to our cooking school. While our antique cabin is very peaceful, the bathroom backs onto the small village laneway. There are typical jungle and village sounds from roosters, dogs, geckos, frogs, and children. There are very few motorbikes because we're at the end of a narrow laneway. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 6 am. We provide a sound system, and you can bring your own earplugs if you're extremely sensitive to noises from nature and local villagers. Or consider staying at our Riverview or River Valley Cabin. From our property, you can walk to Goa Gajah Temple, Yeh Pulu (Holy Spring), some roadside warungs (simple stalls selling local food), and our local morning market. A 10-minute drive away is Mas Village, where you'll find hundreds of woodcarvers and furniture makers. You can see Balinese artisans at work in Celuk and Lohtunduh too. Other things to note For a more private stay, check out our two other cabins on the same property: 1) airbnb.com/h/tresna-bali-cabins-luxury-rivervalley-ubud 2) airbnb.com/h/tresna-bali-cabins-luxury-riverview-villa-ubud-bali ***Our cooking school kitchen and dining room are not for guest use because it's our private home.***
