Walkable to many great restaurants and shops, as well as Westside Historical District. 30 minutes from Reno / Tahoe Intl Airport, 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe, 30 minutes to historic Virginia City. Other rooms available! The space The St Charles Hotel was built in 1862 and is located in Carson City's Historic downtown area, across from the State Capitol. Adjacent to Bob McFadden Plaza, with a Splash Pad and stage, where entertainment and events are held frequently, the hotel is located on the 2nd floor, and is accessible by stairs only. Laundry is onsite, private parking (one space per room) is located on Curry St behind the hotel. Accessed by a private hallway off the 2nd story back deck. Plaza shops include Fox Brew Pub, Pop's Diner (open for breakfast and lunch), Scoups Ice Cream and Soup / Salad Bar, and Piazza Bar and Restaurant, serving a great menu of craft cocktails, fine wines and farm to table appetizer and dinner menu, open 3pm - 9 pm. Guest access This is a historic hotel and room is located on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator! The back entry outside stairs are closest to the room, 2nd floor may also be accessed by the main entry (front) interior stairs. Other things to note McFadden Plaza hosts numerous events, music and entertainment on the Stage (summer season).
