Our circa 1851 farmhouse is situated approx 25 miles from 2 great ski/all season resorts Jay Peak,Burke Mountain, Craftsbury Outdoor Center in the NEK. We’re just off the Irasburg common w/local market,library and church. Beautiful views from the back deck of our neighbors farm with horses,cows,goats and chickens, apple trees and Allen Hill. Direct access to VAST snowmobile and ATV trails. So much to do in the Kingdom and Beyond! Great place for day trips to Canada! Guests love the rambling space in the house from the main farmhouse to the barn connected by a mud room. We’ve got 3 full baths including a soaking tub! There is a wood stove in the kitchen entryway as well as in the barn. There are a variety of living spaces throughout the house and barn. Upstairs in the barn loft there are 2 full beds and an air mattress this is Bedroom #6. Lots of board games, books a record player and karaoke microphones too! It’s a great open fun space to camp out together by setting up even more air mattresses. Adults can enjoy the bar downstairs in barn! Barn has a TV for your streaming services and chatting and cuddling on the big sectional couch. The grounds are great for just relaxing and having fun. There is a campfire ring, corn hole and Viking bowling game, baseballs and mitts, sleds and snowman kit for winter fun...an outdoor deck with a grill and a kitchen herb and fruit garden with blueberries and strawberries (raspberry bush in front yard) Apple and plum trees in backyard as well! Great for stargazing, watching the fireflies, toasting s’mores or bring your tent and camp out! All access to house and barn We are available via cell anytime and will definitely give you guidance on things to do places to eat etc We also have many friends that live full time in the area and can be available if needed in an emergency. We may be in the area at another home during your stay so we will let you know! There is a local market, Ray’s, on the common just cut through the yard between the town hall and library to access. They have all of your essentials including beer and wine and a deli with local butcher delicious meat selection. The irasburg common is a great space for a stroll or a baseball game. We’ve also got a good size yard for backyard fun! Irasburg is an incredibly supportive community we have lots of friends and have wonderful neighbors. Great bakery in Barton- Barton Baking Co. and Parker Pie in West Glover for great craft beers and food! You definitely need a vehicle to get around Vermont and explore the Northeast Kingdom. There is so much to explore from the Jay peak mountain resort, Kingdom Trails, Craftsbury outdoor center to Mount Pisgah, Crystal Lake and Lake Memphremagog. If you light the wood stove please be mindful of the fire and never leave unattended. Never leave the house with the screen on fire close the main stove doors. In addition, if you light a campfire please extinguish completely before leaving or going to bed for the night.
