Description
This is a quiet, spacious, comfortable house with a respectful owner. Many guests stay and return. I work from home with confidential clients, so you may be asked to stay out while they are here. Please be sure that you are OK with this when you book. In weekdays, this house is best suited to those working elsewhere. Check in availability can be varied. Please check with me first! All genders, sexualities, ethnicities and bodies are welcome here. The space The house is comfortable, spacious, clean, tidy, quiet and well-equipped. While all bedrooms were decorated a few years ago, some areas of the house are basic and some not yet decorated. This is a work in progress! This is an oversized room, with the biggest bed, a sofa, a desk, and a dressing table. Your bed is an IKEA double (slightly larger than a normal double) with king-size duvets and covers. I've been told many times that it is comfortable. Your bedroom has a lock on the inside, not on the outside, as in the picture. The house is on the borders of eclectic Totterdown/wooded Arnos Vale/suburban Knowle. This is a 15-20 min walk to the train station, 30 mins to town, 100 yards from the Wells Road, where there are frequent buses to town and beyond (including the bus and train station), as well as a 20-minute easy drive to the airport. This location has all the cafés, restaurants, bars, gyms and grocery shops you might need locally. There are also 4 beautiful parks within close walking distance. The bathroom is shared. Depending on whether couples are booked in to the house, sometimes there may be a wait. Though you are unlikely to clash with me here. I ask you to be considerate about water usage at this time, to prevent a massive rental price hike. Having a bath or using the washing machine is prohibited. Toiletries for your use are in the top shower shelf. The gardening may also not be done. It’s a low priority for me, I’m afraid, and I actually like all the wildflowers out the front! I also hate ironing :D All genders, sexualities, ethnicities and bodies are welcome here. There are 2 exceptions: *Students-please don’t book here on weekdays if there's a chance you might 'oversleep'. I cannot tolerate you being here when my clients come to work with me. It comes as a shock to me and to you, if I have to get heavy about this. So, please just don't risk it. *3rd Party Bookings are also NOT accommodated. **Before you book, please communicate considerately with me about check in and check out. I can sometimes be flexible, sometimes not at all. ** Guest access Guests usually have access to the kitchen, bathroom, one reception room with a sofa and dining table, and the garden when I am not working, and when available (occasionally the reception room will accommodate a guest). If you need to park on my drive, we can negotiate this as my car will also be there. Parking on the street here is free and just as safe. The drive can also be too steep for larger cars, so street parking may be best for you anyway! During your stay I'm happy to have a friendly, helpful chat with you when I can. I'm also sensitive to leaving you alone. And sometimes I will be working late, so we won't see each other at all. The main living room downstairs is for my use only. I'll often be in here or out and not far away by phone, if you need me. Other things to note Please note that if you watch BBC I PLayer or any of the main television channels live the TV Licence is your responsibility.
