TORQUAY Bright, double room in Victorian home

David and Philippa welcome you to their home in Torquay. Conveniently placed just a 10-15 minute walk from the seafront with all its bars and restaurants! We have 2 other bedrooms available on the 1st floor [rooms/18923528 & 18919439]. This one has a standard double bed but we also have a king and twin available. The bedrooms share a bathroom with bath and shower plus a separate WC. The space Our double room is spacious, bright and cheerful and enjoys the early morning sunshine. Newly added desk space for those who like to work while on holiday! Guests are welcome to make use of all outdoor spaces at the front and side of the house (see photos) for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea or just to sit and relax in the sunshine. We love company and are delighted to spend time chatting with our guests or enjoying a wine or coffee together, but if you are here for some quiet time there is plenty of space for solitude. Breakfast cereals, milk, sugar, tea and coffee are provided for you to help yourself. The kitchen may be used to prepare other meals and we have a separate fridge for our guests. Guest access On street parking is usually freely available, but on the odd occasion you can't find a gap there will be space at the end of our driveway. We are just a 15 minute walk to the seafront and all it has to offer: bars, restaurants and a beach (when the tide is out). Other restaurants & takeaways are only 5 minutes from the house. If coming by train we recommend you use Torre station (the one before Torquay as it is only a 5 minute walk away, towards the seafront). Torquay station is slightly further. We host many doctors and nurses who are working at Torbay Hospital as it is also within walking distance (approximately 25 mins). During your stay David and I are here all day if you have any problems, queries or need help with anything. If the weather's nice join us outside in our sunny courtyard for a cup of tea or glass of wine! Other things to note PLEASE NOTE we do not accept children or pets. We have a very nervous Siamese cat who has been known to hide for days when she encounters a dog or small child.
