The entire area is a nature reserve popular with walkers , bird watchers and just people who want to relax in beautiful surroundings. Nearby, in addition to several beaches and the ria de alvor, there are a number of options available such as: water theme parks, several golf courses (Penina Golf, Alto, Gramacho and Palmares).
