Lakefront cottage in beautiful secluded location.

The seclusion, wilderness and clean lakes make this cottage a gem for those wanting to unplug and spend time reconnecting with the powerful stress reduction properties of nature at her best. The interior has a very pleasant, relaxing eco-spirited atmosphere. The outside is breathtaking! And don't be surprised if you see moose swimming in the lake, turtles basking on the rocks or deer at the edge of the forest ... I will offer considerable discounts for parties of 2 or less - please contact me. The space Seven acre property with 2 lakefronts. Located right on Gooseneck lake - no stairs to climb or descend to the lake. A short hike in the forest, along a marked path, takes you to the second lake - McGee Lake (no cottages on this lake - pristine clean). This is a fairly secluded location - only 1 other cottage in sight and is surrounded by forest and of course clean lakes. It is 2.5 kms from highway 520 along a well maintained gravel road. There are two decks both front and back. The property has a marked trail in the forest and we ask quests to stay on that trail in order to minimize disruption to the forest floor. The gravel road is great for taking long walks and very scenic. The cottage is about 1350 sq/ft with 3 medium sized bedrooms and one bathroom. the living room is large with a high vaulted wood panelled ceiling. The kitchen has ample counter and storage space and is well equipped including a blender, juicer, steamer and food processor (for healthier food prep) . The dining room table easily fits 6 (max. occupancy). The mattresses are new and a very comfortable medium foam. The space is both comfortable and beautiful. The cottage includes use of 2 brand new kayaks - Pung100s. Some of what we love most include walks in the forest, sitting on the dock early in the morning listening to the stillness or the gentle breeze. We love the smells - the beautiful smells of nature, soil, pines, the lake, wild flowers ... the smell of the pine in the cottage. We love the bird songs. We love evenings by candlelight. And what i love most are clear nights when i can see the milky way and i am assured that there truly is magic in the universe. Guest access Guests will have access to the main floor of the cabin but not the basement or the garage. Guests will not have access to the hydro or solar energy controls. Guests will not have access to the wood burning stove in the summer but the heat will always be set to a comfortable minimum. Other things to note My husband and I are vegan. We do not have a barbecue on the premises. We are really into living healthy and barbecuing food makes it carcinogenic. So instead we are planting a vegetable garden on the premises. We understand many people have preconceived ideas of what a cottage experience should be, including barbecuing meat, and we appreciate that. However, we are offering a different kind of experience. Our preference is to rent to others who are OK with forgoing meat preparation in the kitchen while being our guests. If you have questions about this part feel free to contact us.
