Soak up the afternoon sun whilst taking in the amazing 180 degree views of the lake & mountains from the comfort of the living room or the private courtyard and balcony. The space This place has the most amazing views across the lake to the mountains from the open plan, sun drenched living/dining/kitchen area. The wood burner keeps the house cosy & warm in winter. It has two bedrooms with comfy queen beds. The toilet is separate from the shower room. Private courtyard with BBQ & thermal plunge pool The location is really convenient to town, a 5 min drive or 30 min walk. The popular Two Mile Bay Sailing Club is just a 1km walk away where you can also catch a water taxi to town or other lakeside destinations. In summer you can enjoy the sunny spacious courtyard & balcony or make the most of the shaded fully fenced private backyard. Sit on the deck and enjoy the view. In winter, nestle into the comfort of the wood burner while you watch the sun go down over the hills or enjoy some Netflix. Utilise the modern kitchen with high quality kitchen appliances or make the most of the outdoors & use the BBQ and enjoy the view while you prepare your meals. Guest access The rear house of a shared driveway. It is one of 6 townhouses/apartments. car parking is in front of the retaining wall at the top of the driveway. Access to the front door is up an external flight of stairs. Tea, coffee (pod machine) & milk are provided Other things to note Guests must have verified phone number, email & Government ID. THERMAL PLUNGE POOL Guests MUST take care around the thermal plunge pool, especially if there are young children staying. If the ranch slider is open, children must be supervised at all times. Please utilise the deadbolt on the ranch slider when it is closed. Do not put your head under the water. WINTER BOOKINGS Taupo is very cold during the winter and the best and main heating for the house is the wood burner. If you are not experienced with using a wood burner, this may not be the best place for you in winter as you will be cold! PERSONAL USE Although this place is mainly set up for Airbnb guests, please bare in mind that it is still our family holiday home so there are some personal belongings around and food staples in the kitchen. It is also not a 5 star hotel and being an older house, some things are not perfect. There is a separate self-contained area with its own entry on the ground floor (not available for rent) which may also be in use at times.
