The Meadow Cottage at Scalebeck

Meadow Cottage is nestled peacefully in the heart of the Eden Valley, just 1 mile from the pretty village of Great Asby. Come and relax in the 5-acre grounds and watch the red squirrels, birds and other wildlife... or use as a base to enjoy exploring the nearby Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and North Pennines which are all within a 30 minute drive. This place is perfect for getting away from it all for a few days. The space Meadow Cottage is one of three cottages in a barn conversion on a former farm. It has views out across farm fields (usually with sheep or cows in residence). Inside is a large bedroom with superking (or twin beds if you prefer), a bathroom and open plan living room with full kitchen and dining area. The barn is a typical Cumbrian bank barn, built in to the hillside such that the door enters into the upstairs open plan level, with high beamed ceilings. Internal stairs lead down to the bedroom and bathroom below. Guest access All our guests have access to our games room with table tennis and pool as well as board games and jigsaws. There is also a coin operated laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer. You are free to explore the 5 acre grounds at Scalebeck including gardens, woodland and meadow. Other things to note There is an unfenced wildlife pond the garden but it isn't close to the cottages. Keep any infants or toddlers under close supervision.
