Unwind and take in the most breathtaking Texas sunsets on the front porch of the Agape Cottage located on a real working farm in the enchanting Sam Houston National Forest. Take a deep breath, unwind and relax, spend some time in silence, immerse yourself in nature or make friends with the farm locals: cows, horses, sheep, goats, donkeys, alpacas, bunnies, pigs and more. It will be an unforgettable experience with memories that will last a lifetime! The space Agape Farms is a working farm located in the Sam Houston National Forest with a wide variety of animals including alpacas, goats, sheep, chickens, quail, rabbits, turkey, ducks, cows, horses, miniature donkeys, dogs, cats and a pair of crazy emus named Ross and Rachel. Guests have full access to the Agape Cottage located at the back of the farm facing three of four small stocked ponds located on the secluded 15 acre property. The tiny cottage has two open bedroom lofts above the shared kitchenette and living room. No detail was spared in the kitchen which has a small but full size refrigerator, pantry area, seasonings, dishes, flatware, electric induction cooktop, a small countertop convection oven, electric griddle, single cup Keurig or regular drip coffee maker, an espresso maker, along with a mini egg boiler and rice cooker. The bathroom has a large shower and a toilet. The front porch has a charming bistro table to sit and enjoy a spectacular pasture and pond view. Once the sun sets, music erupts from the forest with the sounds of nature to lure you to sleep in your quiet little cottage on a little farm in the woods. Other things to note This is a real life working farm so please be mindful of the animals and their safety. Do not feed them anything that isn't given to you by us. They will try to convince you that they are starving but they are not, we promise. We also have fully stocked ponds. It is catch and release only. Please watch for snakes and other wildlife.
