We are just 2.5 km from Richmond shopping centre , 15 minutes from the airport and 5 min ride from the great cycle trails The space The recently built shabby chic apartment with a vintage and french theme, is set in the shell of the old milking shed. Built in the early 1900's and now converted in to accommodation for family and travellers wanting a special country experience without the inconvenience of isolation or distance. The apartment is both rustic and comfortable with a private ensuite bedroom and an adjacent bunk room for 2 guests. A sofa bed in the lounge can host a second couple. The rear of the apartment is undergoing planting and landscaping and has out door furniture for your private enjoyment. Guest access The apartment is self contained and guests will be able to enjoy the immediate grounds, interact with the pet deer and yaks, chickens and other farmyard critters from time to time. There are two very friendly small Jack Russell terriers that live on the farm and they love a pat. Let us know if they are intruding and we will restrict their activity. You may like to hike on the farm and this can be discussed with us. Other things to note We have many farm animals and some are friendly pets such as the deer and yaks. The deer and yaks will eat bread and fruit especially apples. The chickens located just up the house driveway love most edible scraps. When eggs are in season we are happy to supply you with some. There will be occasions where farm activities may be occurring and you could be asked to give consideration to the movement of animals or other vehicles. There is a country shop on the same property and this is open 3 days per week for limited hours. The toilet and shower facilities adjacent to the apartment are also available for your guests. These are made available for shop staff and customers on Thursday Friday and Saturday between 10am and 4 pm. Occasionally there are public events hosted on the property that we will inform you about their access to the public bathrooms.
