Penthouse 14 - independent Suite on the rooftops of Lecce
Description
Attico 14 is a charming place, an escape from the world, while remaining in the center, an intimate place, almost a caress. Relaxing, elegant, minimal, immediately comfortable, couple-friendly. It's a nice way to treat yourself to a vacation or a weekend to discover Lecce by following the owner's suggested itineraries and then isolate yourself and enjoy the peace, on the roofs of the baroque city. The space For those who love beauty and let themselves be guided by inspiration, Attic 14 is the right place: enveloping and at the same time bright and functional. A harmonious melting pot of refined objects, which capture the eye, such as vintage mirrors, wooden houses, iron birds, fossil shells. The roof in bleached wood dates back to the 1940s, on the floor a parquet laminate in light tones. From the terrace you enter a living room with beautiful open kitchen, a white block made to measure with LED lights that create atmosphere. A gathered table with transparent chairs around, a white fabric sofa with pillows and a window that gives a beautiful view. A perfect environment to prepare independently and comfortably consume breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the bedroom the same mood: dominant white and refined simplicity, with pieces of yesteryear on the wall: bottles of the ‘900, old frames, an antique lock and ceramic prickly pear shovels. From the window you can enjoy a beautiful view of the rooftops of the ancient Lecce. To the left of the bed opens the walk-in closet and to the right the spacious and bright bathroom, in white marble with gray veins and a large shower. Guest access You can almost touch the sky from this little apartment located in the historic “suppinna” of a 16th-century building, which has been renovated several times over the centuries and features a 1920s colonnade on the façade. It has a fascinating history, which Emilia, the owner of Attico 14, is happy to share: it was a hat factory, and in the 1930s, it also housed a hotel, the Continental. You go up a convenient staircase, without an elevator, to the second floor, then a few more steps, and you find yourself on the terrace. It is advisable to travel light or to give advance notice so that a porter service can be arranged. You find yourself immersed in a meticulously maintained “garden” overlooking Lecce’s most beautiful monuments: a lush green oasis featuring begonias, ferns, cyclamens, and even an olive tree in a large pot, terracotta jars scattered here and there, and stones carved by Lecce sculptor Nino Della Notte and his students. Under a white wicker gazebo, there is a table with iron chairs and comfortable armchairs where you can enjoy the outdoors at any time of day: from breakfast to an aperitif, to watch dazzling sunsets or enjoy a candlelit dinner in a cozy atmosphere, while the city, with its lights and sounds, bustles all around you. Completely renovated and furnished with love, Attico 14 is an intimate space, perfect for a couple: a 45-square-meter home that makes you feel safe and pampered. The space is dominated by white and by attention to detail, with antique pieces and many small treasures found through extensive searches in artisan workshops, antique markets, second-hand shops, and from artist friends. All in a minimalist style, but with modern comforts: air conditioning and Wi-Fi internet. Registration Details IT075035C200040649
