Single bedroom available in the city of North Charleston. Downtown Charleston is 16 - 20 (9.5 mi) by car. It takes at least an hour to get to Charleston by bus. Minutes away from Tanger Outlets, airport, North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center, Boeing, and Bosch. Quick access to I-26 and I-526. Note: This is an older, ranch-style home in a diverse, developing area. Rooms are close together and sound can carry. Great value for a guest who appreciates a local, lived-in feel. The space ***I do have three cats (Smokey, Bandit, and Holly), however I keep the spaces clean due to frequent vacuuming. Bandit and Holly have a tumultuous relationship. Bandit pretty much stays out of Holly's way but will growl and hiss if Holly gets too close to her. Bandit and Holly can be a bit moody so they should be left alone. Smokey is friendly and will approach guests sometimes. They do not go into the guest rooms because I always keep the doors closed when there are no guests. If you do not wish for them to come into the bedroom, please keep the door closed during your stay, because they can be nosey :)*** Guest Bedroom #1 is a cozy bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed. Recently updated with a fresh coat of Tempered Grey paint and blackout style curtains, the room measure 11' x 10'. There is work desk, as well as a small stand with a random collection of books; as well as magazines, maps, and pamphlets about things to do in Charleston. The Guest Bathroom is two doors down, center of hallway Guest access The Guest Bathroom is located in the hallway, two doors down from the bedroom. Both guest rooms have access to the Guest Bathroom in the center of the hallway when occupied. The guest is welcome to hang out in the living room, backyard patio, or use the Kitchen if they want to cook any meals or a snack. I usually have some snacks, like crackers, breakfast bars, instant oatmeal, and instant grits laying around; and there is a coffee maker to use as well. I have an assortment of teas and a kettle for non-coffee drinkers! There is a filtered water pitcher in the refrigerator. ***Please note: Each guest room is reserved for one guest only. While I previously allowed two guests per room, I’ve found that the space is much more comfortable and enjoyable when limited to solo travelers—especially since both guest rooms share a single hallway bathroom. To ensure a pleasant and relaxing experience for everyone, I now host one guest per room. I am always up for hanging out and chatting about various topics, such as traveling and life abroad, as well as films, music, and sports or anything that happens to come up. I am also understanding to wanting private space, so if guests prefer to have some alone time, that works as well. Other things to note I have the check-In listed as after 5:00 PM but I am flexible, so if you have a particular request to want to check in any earlier, just ask and I may be able to accommodate you!
