Located in a former 1940’s motel, with some vintage characteristics still intact. Tiny house features, such as a fold up table and compact kitchen. This space is nothing fancy, but it’s clean, and the bed is comfortable, and we provide many amenities. Before booking, read “The Space” below. The space Studio 11, located in a 1940’s era motel, is a studio apartment with a queen bed. It is not fancy, but it is clean, and with a full kitchen, a bargain for those who will be in Colby, Kansas for a shorter length of time, and can’t fulfill the six month lease minimum that most rentals require. Our minimum stay is 7 days, however, a shorter stay may be possible, at a slightly higher daily rate, but will possibly have fewer included amenities. Outside is fine. Dispose of any butts properly. No drug use/manufacture/distribution No illegal activities Do not sit or lay on the bed while wearing dirty/greasy clothing/shoes. No parties/loud noises. Turn off lights when you are not there Agree and adhere to Animal regulations if animals are with you No altering anything in the unit Only toilet paper and organic matter is to be flushed Do not dispose of grease down any drain Quiet time between 10pm and 7:30 am Animal Regulations: Only one animal allowed Must be current on rabies vaccine. Must use quality flea preventative for duration of stay Must be on a leash when outside the unit Not allowed inside any other part of the property, including but not limited to the laundromat. Must pick up and properly dispose of solid waste promptly. Must be kenneled when alone in the unit Noise complaints will result in guest needing to use a bark collar. Guests agree to pay for any damages caused by their animal. As I said, this place is not fancy, but it is clean. During summer months, mowing is done on Sundays. During winter months, snow removal from walks will be done between 5-8 am, typically. Your animals are only allowed in unit 11. Insects live in every corner of the earth, including at our property. We do spray regularly for insects, both inside and out, with a product that is not toxic to humans and animals. However, there may be some insects/spiders that make it inside the unit before they go “toes up,” and after it has been cleaned prior to your arrival, and can easily be vacuumed up. Upon checkout, we do ask that you hang up any wet towels, wash your dishes and take your trash to the dumpster, located around the corner from Unit 5, turn off all the lights and lock the door as you leave. Please Note: all of the “consumables” we provide are “starter” quantities, such as toilet paper and paper towels, trash bags, coffee, etc. If the guest depletes these resources provided, and need more, they will need to purchase the product themselves. An extra set of sheets are provided, in a storage bag under the bed. Guest access We have a lot of grassy areas and trees. Several benches are placed around the property. Other things to note Bags for the discreet disposal of personal hygiene items are provided, and we ask that nothing besides organic material and toilet paper be flushed. Flush often, if necessary, water is cheaper than a plumber. LONGER-TERM STAYS-send an inquiry and I will send you back a special offer that will include the cost of Bi-weekly basic cleaning. For stays over 2 weeks, biweekly basic cleaning is required (vacuuming, fresh linens and rugs, toilet cleaning. bathroom wipe-down, sweep and mop). A per visit fee of $40 will apply. Scheduling is flexible and coordinated in advance.
