The space This fresh and stylish approximately 350 sq. ft. retreat was custom designed in 2019 and offers all the comforts you need for a memorable Muskoka getaway. Just steps from downtown Huntsville, you’ll be perfectly positioned to enjoy everything the town has to offer. 📍Experience the Heart of Huntsville: Potential Noise: The Coach House offers an unbeatable central location, putting you steps away from the best festivals, concerts, and local culture. Because we are right in the thick of the action, the neighbourhood is lively all year round! What to Expect: Town Vibrancy: Being downtown means you’ll hear the "sounds of the town"—from seasonal events and festivals to essential services like snow removal, sidewalk cleaning, and local deliveries. Park Life: We are directly across from beautiful River Mill Park. It’s a favourite spot for families and children year-round, which adds a joyful, high-energy atmosphere during the day. For Your Comfort: We want you to have a restful stay! While the energy of downtown is part of the charm, we provide complimentary earplugs for our guests. Helpful Tip: If you are a light sleeper, we also encourage you to bring your favourite sleep mask or additional noise-canceling gear to ensure the perfect night's rest. A Note on Indoor Sounds: As a compact and cozy space, you may hear the gentle & normal hum of the fridge located near the sleeping area. Please do not unplug the fridge. During cooler months, the electric baseboard heaters may make a light clicking sound as they warm up—this is perfectly normal and will quiet down once your desired temperature is reached. Note: We ask guests to please consider all of this "downtown energy" & in-unit potential when booking to ensure our space aligns with your travel style & expectations. If you love being where the excitement is, you’ll feel right at home! 🛶 Water Access: You’re going to love our proximity to the water! The public town docks on the other side of River Mill Park are right across the street and ready for you to jump in. For a true Muskoka experience, check out Algonquin Outfitters to rent a canoe, kayak or paddle boat for the afternoon. It’s the ultimate way to beat the heat! 🏖️ Public Beaches Nearby: - Avery Beach - Hutcheson Beach - Port Sydney Beach - Dwight Beach The Space: 👨🏻‍🍳 Kitchenette: - 2 Induction cooktops (2 pots, 1 pan, utensils provided) - Drip coffee maker (coffee & filters provided) - Microwave - Toaster - Kettle - Mini-fridge (NOTE- fridge only, NO freezer) - Dishes, cutlery - Bar sink (NOTE- not a full size sink-dishes easily done in the sink) - Dish rack - Basic condiments (tea, salt & pepper, olive oil) - All cookware, dishes & utensils. - Propane BBQ on the back patio (propane & utensils provided). Note that the BBQ is NOT available in winter. - 2 seater dining table for meals that also doubles as a laptop-friendly workspace. - NOTE- the kitchenette is small & functional but not always ideal for lots of cooking. Many cafes, restaurants, etc a short walk away. 🛋️ Living Area: - Cozy sitting area to relax and unwind - Big bright windows w/privacy blinds (lift them up to open, bring them down to close) - Ceiling fan & light operated via remote control - Vaulted ceiling w/skylights with UV film 🛌 Bed Area: - Comfortable queen-size bed with a custom wood headboard and quality linens & pillows. - Custom built-in end tables - Mounted sconces on either side - Extra blankets available - Vaulted ceiling w/skylights with UV film 🛁 Bathroom: - Custom live edge counter top - Sink, toilet, shelving/counter space for toiletries - Custom porcelain shower w/ toiletries included. - Full bathroom amenities: soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, hair dryer, plush towels, makeup remover wipes, first aid kit, iron & ironing board, full-length mirror. - Vaulted ceilings with skylights and a ceiling fan keep the space bright and comfortable. NOTE- Skylights have UV film for some light control; guests sensitive to light are encouraged to bring their own sleep mask. 🛜 📺 Amenities: - Fast & reliable fibre-optic Wi-Fi throughout. - Smart TV to stay connected & stream your favourite shows/music - Iron, ironing board - Extra table fans available in summer months. - Extra space heater available in winter months. 🌳 Outdoors: - Cute backyard w/some gardens and bistro set for 2 - Hammock (please be mindful in rain & bring inside so the next guests can use) - Propane BBQ - Front porch offers 2 comfy Muskoka chairs 🅿️ Parking: - Spring, Summer & Fall- One dedicated parking space beside the Coach House. The driveway is pretty steep & can be difficult to navigate depending on your vehicle. Please pull up to the flat area near the sign/reflectors as much as possible (see photos). If you have trouble or are uncomfortable with the driveway please reach out for alternative parking options. - Winter- parking is located in the main house driveway around the corner, clearly marked “Coach House Parking" for maximum of 2 cars (one behind the other). A path is shovelled around the main house to the Coach House. If this is a concern, please reach out prior to check-in for alternative parking options. Note: Winter street parking overnight is not permitted by the town of Huntsville for snow removal. 🧯Safety features: - Smoke detector - Carbon monoxide detector - Fire extinguisher - First Aid kit Note: The main house on the property is rented separately but can be combined with the Coach House to accommodate larger groups (up to 10 guests total). Please inquire for details. Guest access You'll receive the digital access code a few days prior to your arrival. You have access to the entire unit including the front & back patios. There is 1 parking spot right beside the Coach House that is all yours during spring, summer & fall. It's a little bit steep but do your best to drive up to the flat part of the spot, up by the sign/reflectors (see pictures for reference). During winter months, parking is located in the driveway of the main house around the corner with a sign labelled "Coach House Parking". The backyard is fenced in & separates the back deck of the main house, ensuring privacy for each unit. Other things to note 🏠 Your Downtown Huntsville Getaway- Please note the following details: We are a fully licensed Short-Term Rental with the Town of Huntsville (License #STRA-2025-200). For your peace of mind, a physical copy of our license is available in the welcome binder upon arrival. 📜 House RulesTo ensure a wonderful stay for you and our neighbours, we kindly ask that you observe the following: - No Smoking or Vaping: Strictly prohibited indoors. If smoking outside, please use the designated front or back yard areas and dispose of all butts responsibly (ashtray provided). - Guest Policy: No parties, events, or unauthorized overnight guests. - Pet-Free Zone: Due to severe allergies, we maintain a strictly pet-free environment. - Water Usage: To ensure everyone gets a warm shower, please be mindful of your hot water use. Our cozy space utilizes a smaller tank which takes approximately 20–30 minutes to reheat if depleted. 📍 The Neighbourhood: Enjoy the heartbeat of Huntsville! Being steps from the action means you are close to festivals, cultural events, and River Mill Park. - Vibrancy Note- Like any central downtown location, you may hear typical "town sounds" such as street activity, park-goers, or seasonal maintenance (snow removal/lawn care, etc). - Cozy Space Details- To ensure a transparent stay, please note that the fridge is located near the bed and has a standard operating hum. Additionally, the electric baseboard heaters may click momentarily while adjusting to your temperature settings; this is part of their normal operation. - For Your Comfort- We want you to have a restful stay! While the energy of downtown is part of the charm, we provide complimentary earplugs for our guests. - Helpful Tip- If you are a light sleeper, we also encourage you to bring your favourite sleep mask or additional noise-canceling gear to ensure a good night's rest. If you love being where the excitement is, you’ll feel right at home! - Drinking Water: Our tap water is drinkable. 🅿️ Seasonal Parking Instructions: Parking varies by season to ensure your vehicle stays safe and the town can maintain the roads. Spring, Summer, Fall- One dedicated spot at the side of the Coach House. The driveway is steep & there's a bump at the bottom of it; please pull up to the flat area by the reflectors as much as you can. If you don't feel comfortable navigating the driveway, some public street parking is available on West St. Note the town parking signs & also no spots are guaranteed. Winter- Guests can park in the main house driveway around the corner. Park in the "Coach House Parking" spot (up to 2 cars, tandem). A shovelled path around the main house leads you to your entrance. *Important: If you are uncomfortable with the steep driveway in summer, or the walk from the main house in winter, please message us before check-in for alternative options. Note: Overnight street parking is prohibited by the town during winter. ☁️ Comfort & Amenities: - Seasonal Climate: We provide a space heater for cozy winter stays and table fans to keep you cool in the summer. Note that there is no air conditioning & the smart thermostat on the wall is only used for heating in the cooler months & winter. - Winter Perks: To keep your toes toasty, we provide two pairs of slippers during the colder months. - Outdoors: A propane BBQ is available for use (Spring, Summer, Fall). Note that there BBQ is not available in winter. Hammock- If you use the hammock, please bring it inside after each use to protect it from the rain.
