Description

This is a lovely large quiet and tranquil separate unit with a new bathroom. A small stream gurgles alongside enjoyed by pukekoes and eels. We want you to enjoy the birdlife, therefore we have food for you to feed the fantails, eels and pukekoes. A Gazebo over looking the stream to watch the pukeko playing, maybe enjoying a glass of wine. The unit has a microwave, fridge and toaster sofa, table and chairs for you to enjoy "home away from it all". Very safe off street parking The space We are situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac 15 minutes drive in the northern suburb of Whangarei in the Kamo village where there are restaurants, bars, cafés and shops. Your room has a queen sized bed, with a new shower and toilet room, a microwave toaster and fridge. We have a portacot if needed, swings, slide for littlies. Being kiwis, sheep farming is in our lives so we do have a sheering flavour with a wool bale presser for an outside table, even shearing sheers, and a well used and loved thermet. We have a 21 speed bicycle if you require. We have an older style home which is shaded by large Vitex lucens (commonly called the puriri and a pohutakawa and bamboo which keeps the room cool. We have a large flat section where pukekoes roam and you can sit and enjoy the rambling sound from the stream or relax with a wine in our gazebo. We include a self catering continental breakfast included in your room rate which consists of Cereal, Yoghurt, fruit, toast and jams Tea/Coffee We respect your privacy so have a microwave in the unit for you to use and enjoy, should you wish to have meals onsite. We do have a cot if you have small children. Whangarei’s bus service can be very erratic so we strongly suggest you have your own vehicle. Having said that: I have put together many pages of how to get around using buses and shuttle services should you not have your own vehicle. We know what it is like when travelling to a new area therefore we provide a booklet of maps and in depth information to help you have an exciting stay in Whangarei. Our booklet includes cost of the activity, how long to spend there, and how to get there on public transport. A word of advice -any food items left unattended will be devoured by -Spencer -our small ginger cat. Sometimes Possums can be noisy running around at night so please enjoy nature at it's best.
