Cozze and smart, at (a real) home in Trastevere!
Description
Enjoy Rome in a true home where design, colors, and comfort blend in perfect harmony with the light, making you say, "WOW!" Fully equipped, easy to reach whether you're arriving by train or plane, suitable for short or long stays, whether for leisure or business, it's located just outside the city center, close to all its tourist attractions yet in a safe, quiet, and strategic area for exploring the city: on foot, by bike, or by bus, this place is perfect for you and for experiencing Rome! The space The house is located in a part of the city, near the river, suspended between Trastevere and Testaccio, both famous neighborhoods typical of Rome. The former is ancient and picturesque but now chaotic, noisy, and crowded with tourists and locals; the latter is more recent, popular, and full of everyday atmosphere, with its lively and famous market and traditional taverns. This part of the city is just outside the city center but remains quiet and peaceful, and on Sundays it transforms with Rome's largest flea market: Porta Portese, which is definitely worth a stroll in search of the day's bargain! It's also full of services (restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and shops of all kinds are within a 5-minute walk) and excellently connected to the main tourist attractions, the airport, and the main train stations. You won't need a car or taxi: all the main tourist attractions are reachable on foot, by bike, or by public transportation, and I'll be happy to provide you with all the information you need to get around and explore Rome in the smartest and most convenient way! I renovated this house for myself, but I didn't live there for long, even though I invested a lot of time and energy. That's why I wanted to leave everything as it was for my guests, and I'm happy to know when they enjoyed it! When you arrive, you'll experience the comfort of natural materials, the amenities, and the attention to detail I've dedicated so much time to. If you choose to be my guests, it's likely because you appreciate these things. I hope you'll enjoy them, and I ask you to take care of them! Upon your arrival, you'll find a bright and comfortable living room with a fully equipped kitchenette, including a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and convection oven. A table for six and a large corner sofa make this space ideal for relaxing, listening to music from the Bluetooth sound system, or reading a guidebook in an armchair, getting an idea of the things to see and do, making plans for your days of exploration. Separated by a door, you'll find the bedroom. Here, a beautiful French bed, handcrafted by an upholsterer, takes pride of place, allowing you to stow your suitcases in its storage compartment, while the memory foam mattress will soothe your nerves after a tiring day of sightseeing! The built-in wardrobe and a walk-in closet, perfectly furnished by the carpenter, where you can store your belongings in minutes, will make you feel at home. From the bedroom, you have access to the bathroom, an oasis of relaxation thanks to the king-size built-in shower and exquisite glass mosaic. The bathroom is complete with a hairdryer and washer-dryer, a first aid kit, and a small emergency supply of essentials, in case you've forgotten to pack anything. Guest access The apartment is a ground-floor building and it is sheltered by a shared courtyard. It enjoys a private and quiet location, yet remains easily accessible and bright, thanks in part to its two skylights in the roof. Access is via a small flight of stairs leading to a shared hallway: ten steps in total, which is convenient even with large, heavy suitcases! Unfortunately, it is not suitable for those with disabilities or mobility issues, as there is no elevator. If you arrive by train or plane, you'll be there in a flash. If you arrive by car, there's a garage next to the building, and free street parking is readily available. The best way to get home from Fiumicino Airport is by train! It costs much less than a taxi, is just as convenient, and takes about the same amount of time, believe me. Once there, take the FL1 train and get off at Roma Trastevere station in 26 minutes: you're just 400 meters from home! Please note: Avoid trains with final destination "Roma Termini" and take a train with final destination "Orte", "Montelibretti", or "Fara Sabina" instead! If your flight lands at Ciampino Airport: take a shuttle to Termini station (there are several). From there, in the square in front of the station, take bus 170 (the terminus is there) and get off (about 20 minutes) at Largo degli Stradivari; you're just 150 meters from home! The best way to get home from Roma Termini is by bus: from the square in front of the station, take bus 170 (the terminus is there) and get off (about 20 minutes) at Largo degli Stradivari; you're just 100 meters from home! You can also take a local train to Trastevere station; it'll take 5 minutes less, but it won't be as interesting for a first look at the city. From Roma Tiburtina or Roma Ostiense: take the train (FL1 line) to Fiumicino Airport and get off at Roma Trastevere (about 19 minutes, or 4 minutes from Ostiense); you're just 400 meters from home! Below you'll find the estimated travel time to the main attractions (on foot/by bike/by bus or train; the time is approximate and refers to a person in good health who doesn't stop to look around): Historical Trastevere, 16'/12'/9' Circus Maximus/Mouth of Truth, 26'/10'/15' Colosseum, 33'/14'/20' Campidoglio, 35'/13'/18' Via del Corso, 38'/14'/19' Trevi Fountain, 49'/15'/28' Pantheon, 42'/22'/20' St. Peter's Basilica, 50’/21’/15' Other things to note My way in hosting seems more like welcoming old friends in town than renting a property. Everyone of us has its own style and, even if I'll earn money hosting you, this is not the only reason I do it for. If you are looking for a friend in town and not only a number pad and a code to get in, try stopping here, you will not regret! Registration Details IT058091C28D2RQ86Y
