It is all about the view. This chalet style house with floor to ceiling windows, has more than 180 degrees view of the lake, and sits 600 feet above the water. Don't be alarmed if a plane flies below you while you're sitting on the deck! In our opinion, both the house and the lot make the view one of the very best on Greers Ferry Lake! Photos cannot do this place justice. It has to be seen! The house is not suitable for kids under 10 years old. The house faces north, and so the deck is largely in the shade and enjoyable - even in summer. There's almost always a gentle breeze to keep bugs from bugging you as well. We have outdoor dining set for 8, as well as 1 double and 1 single lounge plus two "fatboys" to jump into. A gas grill is also available (propane provided). Inside, three large bedrooms, all with full en suites provide comfort and privacy. An extra half bath is located off the kitchen. Pool, ping-pong, and cards can all be enjoyed in the walk out basement, that also has crazy views. The main floor open plan - kitchen, dining and living room allow family participation over a large area, with a TV, beautiful views and outdoor access. 22 ft ceilings! Views of the lake are "picture portrait" through the huge 9ft windows - the comfortable sectional seating makes lounging, reading, napping and TV watching (85" HD TV -Direct TV on the upper floor) Enjoy cooking meals in the large kitchen which features a double door refrigerator (ice maker and water dispenser), cook top stove with double oven, microwave, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, espresso machine, and toaster. The kitchen is fully stocked with glass dinner sets, silverware, pots, pans, casserole dishes, panini grill and a blender. There is an additional drink (wine) cooler downstairs in the game room. Full sized, new laundry machines are located on the main floor. The Master bedroom on the main level has an en suite bathroom, modern glass and tile shower. It features a king bed, a door to the deck with great views of the lake. The view at night with full moon is just amazing! The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are downstairs and each have newly remodeled generous en suite bathrooms. Again the views are spectacular in every room. The 2nd bedroom has another king size bed, en suite bathroom as well as a built in closets. The 3rd bedroom has an en suite bathroom, with frame-less glass and a modern vanity. The lower level common room features a billiard table (9 ft Olhausen), with our own makeshift ping ping on top! There is a wine cooler, and high backed bar stools for socializing and relaxing. A set of binoculars allows guests to watch the birds (including Bald Eagles), chipmunks, rabbits and occasional deer. The house is located in a dry county, so it's advisable to bring your own alcohol if you so choose. There are several restaurants nearby, which require a membership purchase to have a drink. Boat launch is 5 minutes from the house, which is what we do every time we get on the water. Otherwise, the nearest marina is 12 minutes away. The only part of the house which are not accessible are the pantry, and one closet in the master bedroom. We are always available for quick questions over the phone!
