This is a unique and stylish country house with a breathtaking view over the forest, south facing, quiet and elegantly furnished. It has a heated biological pool made of Cedar wood (15m heated from May to mid Oct )a deck and several outside terrasses and garden. The garden offers spectacular views and privacy. The house is spacious and offers many rooms making it easy to share. A old barn has been converted into a spacious living room. Style and nature combined. A unique experience The space This house is unique, the view of the Retz Forest is spectacular and you can enjoy it from every room in the house. Facing south, there are two gardens, the first at the level of the house, with several spaces to meet, dine, or have a barbecue. The second garden, below, with the 15 m by 2.8 m organic pool, heated with a heat pump (from May to mid-October depending on the temperature) offering a 40 m² terrace with forest view, garden furniture, deckchairs, dining area. THE HOUSE: On the ground floor there is: - A large living room on two levels, (rehabilitation of a barn) with an open fireplace and an insert fireplace to heat up in winter, a music room, sofas, hi-fi, grand piano, drums, dining room with fireplace (decorated with brass), on the mezzanine a TV lounge with home cinema and foosball and an open rest area that can be used as an extra bed or bedroom (for night owls) - A large kitchen-dining room - a small living room in the anteroom of the master bedroom, with the possibility of unfolding two single beds. - The Master bedroom (bronze color) with a double bed and fireplace. - Separate toilet. On the first floor: – Bedroom number two (red) with a double bed - bedroom number 3 (white) and 4 (in mezzanine – yellow) with a 140 cm double bed on the lower level and a double bed or two single beds above in the mezzanine. A curtain on the lower level creates a little privacy in the double bed. - Bathroom with bathtub, shower, sink, toilet South-facing land 2000 m2 Sloping access with a few steps. The house is located at the top of a charming village overlooking the Retz Forest. There are no shops in the village, supermarkets, train station and other amenities are either in Soissons (15 km) or in Villers-Cotterets (15 km). There's a bakery and a tobacco bar 4 km away in the village of Coeuvres. The area is full of pretty villages, castles (Pierrefonds, Coucy, Montgobert, Compiegne are the jewels in the crown). Paris is 48 minutes by train from Villers-Cotterets Reims and the Champagne region are a 50-minute drive away. Guest access The entire house is rented. Other things to note The house has a lot of stairs, which are not all secure, it can be a source of danger for young children, supervision or occasional security will be required. The house is located below the main road, it is accessed by a sloping path or by a few steps, with its many stairs the house is unfortunately not accessible to people with reduced mobility. Finally, I feed and welcome two lovely but very free cats who live a lot outdoors. I ask my tenants to feed them, food is provided of course. They are affectionate and independent but it is important to enjoy their company.
