The Blue House on the Hey
The Blue House on the Hey
Description
Experience your stay in a typical Dutch home! This cozy house is built like a tower: all the way up, on the 2nd floor you will find the bedroom and a shower and sink. On the 1st floor, you will find the kitchen with a table where you can eat or work. Despite the small space, everything is provided to make a bite to eat, so you don't necessarily have to go out to eat. On the ground floor, there is the toilet and the hall/entrance. The stairs are steep, so keep that in mind! The space The accommodation is cozy and cozy/small but at the same time you have everything you need to spend a few nice days in Groningen. In the front garden you can sit and chill when the weather is nice. The Noorderplantsoen is within walking distance (15 minutes) and the city center is about 20 minutes away. The neighborhood is an old lively neighborhood where, in addition to the Groningen residents, students also live. Nearby are 2 supermarkets, 2 good restaurants and a cafeteria. I live downstairs and sleep at the back of the house, so I have absolutely no problem with you coming in late at night or using the toilet. Guest access By train, and then the bus, easily accessible. By car too, but look for parking options. If possible, I can help with a visitor's pass; that means you can park nearby on my permit at no cost. Is not always possible because there are 16 hours available per week. Other things to note It is a house from the 1930s; that means it is an attractive house but of course also a bit older. The stairs are a bit steep; please keep this in mind. The only thing that is shared is the hall (upon arrival). Furthermore, I have 2 cats that you might run into (they sometimes want to run upstairs: you can just bring them in to me). I hope I can offer a place where you feel free to go your own way (I do too:) and where it can be cozy when we meet. Nothing is required and a lot is allowed!
