It has a view over the meadows with sheep and cows and is about 10 kilometers from the capital Leeuwarden. The garden is large (about 300 m2) and offers plenty of privacy. The "Fries-Weilandhuisje" is located in the quiet park "In Style" in Menaldum (Menaam), with laundromat. Menaldum is centrally located in beautiful Friesland, between Leeuwarden (Europe's cultural capital of 2018) and Franeker. Harlingen is also close by. Nature, culture, beautiful places, lakes, beaches, Wadden Sea, Wadden Islands. Friesland offers many nice experiences, which are easily accessible. Enjoy the beautiful Friesland, by car, bike, on foot or over the water. FRIES-WIELLY cottage, NR 103 ( MAX 2 adults & 2 kids) Our chalet of over 40 m2 is newly furnished in 2015 with: •Cozy living room with comfortable three-seater sofa, cozy dining area, beautiful unobstructed views over the meadow (where regularly sheep and/or cows graze) and French doors to the garden. •Large (80cm) flat-screen TV, with a wide international range of channels. • Use of Wi-Fi via Ziggo for free. •Well-equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, gas stove, combination microwave, filter coffee machine and kettle and plenty of storage space. •Bathroom with sink, shower cubicle and toilet •Bedroom with double bed (140x200), large closet and dressing table. •Bedroom with bunk beds and closet space and space for adding a camp bed. •Large garden, with garden furniture and parasol. •Shed •Comfortable and energy efficient pellet (wood)stove. Fuel available in the village of Menaldum. •A geyser will provide the hot water. • You can park right outside the door. •In the cottage you will find a lot of tourist information, including the beautiful Capitol Guidebook. Inspiration for plenty of experiences! PRICE The price includes final cleaning, park/service costs, electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi, TV and parking at the cottage. Tourist interest is €1,- p.p.p.n from the age of 16. You can bring your own bed linen, towels and kitchen towels. Bed linen can also be rented for €10.00 p.p. You must then order this well in advance. HOLIDAY PARK "IN STYLE" The chalet is located in the quiet holiday park IN STYLE Address: Gralda 5, 9036 JJ Menaam. At the reception, you can ask for tourist information. The park is located between the two Frisian villages Menaldum and Dronryp. Bus stop in front of the park's entrance. The capital Leeuwarden is within cycling distance (in 2018 cultural capital of Europe) and the beautiful city of Franeker. A large swimming pond “the Swanneblom” is a nature water lake about 3 km away from the park and is very suitable for children. This is accessible free of charge. You can fully enjoy beautiful views in the characteristic Frisian landscape, take long bike rides, explore the beautiful city of Leeuwarden or sail over the Frisian waters by boat. The holiday park is spaciously laid out. THE PARK USES FIXED CHANGEOVER DAYS IN HIGH SEASON (MA/FREE) GETTING THERE Park Waadhoekerhout is located in the north of Friesland between the cities of Harlingen and Leeuwarden. From the Afsluitdijk, drive towards Harlingen. From Harlingen, follow the A31 towards Leeuwarden. On the A31, take the exit "Dronrijp/Menaldum" - exit number 21. Then follow the signs towards Menaldum. If you drove under the overpass, the park is on your right. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS Contactless checkin. Guest access The chalet and the large garden are exclusively available for you. Other things to note - Close by you will find the free accessible swimming pond Swanneblom, Kleasterdyk 9, 9037 JW Slappeterp - Fuel for the energy and environmentally friendly wood stove (pellet stove) can be bought in the village of Menaldum (or in another shop, e.g. hardware store). These pellets are not provided as standard. - Bed linen can be rented at €10.00 per person. You do need to book this well in advance. - Pet welcome. Extra charge: €15,- per stay - Smoke NOT allowed. - Monday and Friday are the fixed changeover days during the high season. * From 2025, there is a mandatory "city tax" charge of €1,- per night/ per person from 16 years of age. * Maximum rental period is 21 nights and may not be rented other than for recreational use.
