Cosy Double Room with shared bathroom

Double room (no kitchen access) situated on a peaceful but steep, side street just 50 meters from takeaways (Indian, Chinese, Fish & Chips, Kebab, Pizza...), as well as a convenience store, pharmacy & ATM cash machine. Newport town centre & Newport train station (20mins walk), please note Newport is hilly! There is on street parking & plenty of great things to do a short drive or a walk away. This location is a great place to base yourself from whether here for work or to relax. The space Having work in hospitality across the globe we are always ready to hosts you and as professional hosts we take great delight in making you feel welcome and at home. The room is at the front of the house and has a big window which catches the sun in the mornings. Desk and chair with lots of great light for working in. Kettle with tea/coffee provided in room so you are never short of a hot cuppa! It is room only however, so there is no kitchen access (no fridge/microwave). Toilet and separate bathroom with large walk-in shower. These are shared with the other Airbnb guest room, which may or may not be booked during your stay. Our home intends to be a calm and quiet base for those travelling away from home for a peaceful getaway or for work and to ensure you have a great restful nights sleep we require all guests to respect quiet hours between 11pm and 8am (avoid phone calls/loud noises/wear headphones for music etc). ** Please kindly take care with food and drinks in the room (especially coffee and curry), as these stains are very tricky to remove from the carpet. There will be an extra cost charged to cover this should their be extra cleaning to remove these. ** Guest access Unfortunately there is no access to the kitchen, but we are right next to many different takeaways, a pub, pharmacy, cash point & a convenience store :-) There is also a launderettes with coin operated machines about a 10 minutes walk from our home. During your stay Someone will normally be here to meet you, get you settled in and to provide any information we can to help maximise your time in Newport. My husband and I both work during the day and/or evenings so we might be in and out, but at most just a text or phone call away. We love to meet people from all over the globe and we are always happy to help you plan out your visit to Newport and the surrounding area or simply give you space and leave you in peace if you prefer. Check in is sometimes via a lockbox for guest convenience or if we will be out. Other things to note Please note, Newport is not a flat city, we are located on stow hill and as such it is a partly up hill walk to ours from town and from the train station and partly down hill into town/train station. There is a bus stop that is 50metres from our home that goes into town and a taxi from the station is only about £4.30 (Taxi prices can vary depending on the distance traveled, time of day, and traffic conditions) with CHOW Taxis (good idea if you have lots of heavy luggage!).
