Dixon Coop -the local supermarket -is about one mile away on Hwy75, offering healthy food choices as well as pizza, sandwiches etc. Also, several breweries and wineries are withing walking distance (Vivac winery sits just across the street on hwy 68). Sipapu ski valley is only 20 minutes away, Ojo Caliente hot springs is 30 minutes away. River rafting can be provided, as well as other river-related activities (fishing, swimming etc). Hiking trails on BLM public land are just across the river from the property.
