Durranbah Bush Retreat
Durranbah Bush Retreat
Description
Durranbah Bush Retreat located in the wonderful Australian bush. An ideal stop over to arrive rested & refreshed in Grafton. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space and being able to wander about this part of Australia. Durranbah is ideal for couples, singles and business travellers. There is a double bed in a spacious room with access to the veranda. You are free to walk about the almost untamed 42 hectare property. There are some tracks and plenty of wallaby trails to follow. The space Durranbah Bush Retreat abounds with Australian wildlife. The garden which surrounds the house attracts many birds who enjoy snacking on the Grevilleas and other flowering plants. Wallabies can be seen bounding though the grounds around the house or just lazing under the bushes on warm Summers days. The nights are filled with frogs calling from the dams on the property. A small bettong or bandicoot or possum may wander past during the night on their nightly foraging. You can enjoy Forest Bathing to unwind and feel nature nurture your soul. Inside you have a large bedroom with its own entrance and are free to use the kitchen, loungeroom or delightful sun room to relax. There are many books to read or just watch TV. We only have rain water tanks here so please be conscious of this and try to have quick showers. The water pressure will not be as strong as you are probably used to as the water comes to the house via a gravity feed. The house has a septic system so only toilet paper into the toilet please. Guest access Guests are able to use the most areas of the house but be mindful that this is a shared accommodation and please respect our private spaces. If you wish to use the kitchen, please let us know and we will show you where everything is for cooking. The bathroom is a shared bathroom. You are free to walk about the almost untamed 42 hectare property. There are some tracks and plenty of wallaby trails to follow. You will need to be mindful of the wildlife you may encounter from snakes to spiders and insects who may bite of sting. During your stay Once you arrive we will be only to happy to show you around and let you know the attractions in the area. We will usually be at home so you can share your moments with us or have your own personal space if you wish. Other things to note There isn’t any WiFi and mobile phones will probably pick up 1 - 2 bars in the house. Walking into the garden or to the top of the driveway mobile reception will be OK.
