The private apartment is situated above our 3 bay detached garage, within the grounds of our home. We live down a quiet country lane giving the feeling of a rural location, but within a few miles of Matlock. It offers the freedom of modest self-catering accommodation, ideal for short breaks, the minimum stay is 2 nights. Ford Farm is good for couples and solo or business travellers, but limited to two peopIe. It is an ideal base for walking, cycling and exploring the Peak National Park The space The Space The front door opens into the open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. The kitchen has a kettle, toaster, an under counter fridge, four ring ceramic hob, a microwave and an air fryer. There is cutlery and crockery along with pots and pans. There is a television, DVD and free wi-fi for your use. The double bedroom leads off the lounge and on into the ensuite bathroom where there is a spacious shower. All bedding, towels, crockery and cutlery are supplied, and there is tea/coffee and milk to get you started. There is also private, off-the-road car parking and outdoor seating area. Guest access The apartment is available for your own exclusive use during your stay. We do not share the accommodation with you - it is available for you to come and go as you please. You have your own key and a secure private entrance. We live next door and are available/contactable for any further information you may require. Other things to note The apartment is above our 3 bay garage, the access is via an outdoor open steel staircase meaning that stilettos are a no go. This also makes the property unsuitable for small children and less mobile adults. As the apartment is above our garage space, there could be the very occasional noise from the opening of the front rolling door. The access to our property is via a half mile long country lane which is single track with plenty of passing places. It is council maintained but the verges can become a little overgrown and there are some potholes which vary through the year depending on the council patching them as they see fit.
