Guest access The Bruce Peninsula is a spectacular getaway, with something for everyone. The cottage is on Whiskey Harbour, which is part of the community of Pike Bay. A small quiet cottage community, Pike Bay is 15 minutes from the town of Lion's Head, which is the nearest town with a grocery store, shops, restaurants, coffee stores, ice cream shop, beach, and harbour. Whiskey Harbour rocks, a great place to hang out, is a 5 minute walk at the end of the street. By-the-Bay store (which sells a selection of groceries, treats, snacks, firewood, propane refills, fishing supplies, has a hot menu, and is also an LCBO outlet!) is a 5 minute drive from the cottage and a 20 min bike ride - great for the kids looking for some ice cream. Bruce Peninsula National Park, with the famous Grotto, is a 45 minute drive away, and Tobermory, with it's famous shipwrecks and Chi-Cheemaun ferry to Manitoulin Island, is just a few more minutes up the road. Kayak in the harbour, take a glass-bottom boat tour, or head to Flower Pot island with it's amazing rock formations, for the day. This is where the Bruce trail begins, and if you love to hike it's the place to be. Don't forget the Bruce Trail hike in Lion's Head, which brings you to breathtaking cliff top views. If you love the beach, Singing Sands is 40 minutes north, and Sauble Beach is 40 minutes south. A different day trip is possible every day of the week! Explore the Bruce - or just relax at the cottage - either way you will be experiencing the best that Canadian cottage life has to offer. And after the awe-inspiring sunsets....keep looking up at an unbelievable sky full of stars. Other things to note This is a peaceful and quiet community. Please respect the neighbours!
