The Farmhouse is a carefully restored home built in 1828. The property has a 4 generation history in the Ryan family. The ultimate retreat for any family, or just a couple that wants a private country estate setting. The home has modern amenities with a true rustic original feel and a view from every window. There have been many memories created on the property and we hope there will be many more for the travelers coming to the Hudson Valley. The space Hardwood floors, new modern bathrooms and a new kitchen bring the 150 year old house up to a "Modern Farm" country feel. Smart TV and wireless internet bring just enough connection to the outside world--to blend a rustic setting to satisfy everyone.There are new drop in window air conditioners for the four bedrooms in summer and ceiling fans for salon and family room. Guest access The locally obtained blue stone rock wall was built on the driveway side of the house to welcome guests as the sense of arrival and a place to unpack your things.There is enough designated parking along the center cow field fence just to the left of the farmhouse. Other things to note The setting does come with natural wildlife around the property. There are cows raised here, deer that seem to come more often than once or twice that look familiar sometimes, a resident 'hawk" and countless other birds. The Lake at the rear of the property can be hiked through to the Red Wing Recreation area, yet is not for our Air bnb guests however due to safety + Town ordinances we can not control. There is "no" open fireplace usage in the house at this time--old houses need to be preserved, please.
