The Annexe is situated in a quiet english garden in the very heart of the village. Linton boasts 3 pubs, a cafe, Co-op, Post Office, a plethora of parks & picturesque walks as well as being near to Granta Park, Chilford Hall Vineyard, & Curwin Printmaking Studio. A mere 10 miles from Cambridge, 5 miles from Saffron Walden, 5 miles from Duxford Imperial War Museum, and 11 miles from Newmarket Races. This is an ideal location for quick day trips or for work in Cambridge and surrounding villages. The space ~Cosy, Clean and Chic~ The Annexe is a cosy 1 bedroom open space self contained cottage, newly decorated with a fully fitted, well equipped kitchen with gas range, a dining table for 2+ and futon lounge. Guests also have garden access and can enjoy their own patio space with a full back yard outdoor bistro set. The main entrance to The Annexe is shared with the homeowner's home office and study, but is completely separate from the main house. Guests climb one set of stairs to their own apartment above and step through directly into the kitchen, and dining area. The dining area has 3 seats situated around a round table in front of a full floor to ceiling window with the addition of a fold out futon lounge for relaxing, or reading, and can be easily made up for an extra guest upon request. From there, guests pass through the short hall where the shower and toilet are situated, into the main bedroom with wooden wardrobes, chest of drawers and wall mounted mobile Smart TV which can be relocated to the kitchen. *Please note that The Annexe is open floor plan, meaning there is no real separation between the kitchen, dining area and bedroom. This is of particular importance if you have invited a guest who may be using the futon lounge. We have also recently updated our internet to high speed, and installed a new aerial, however we would truly appreciate guests understanding in the event the internet drops, as it will be outside of our control. - This is the perfect place for a small idyllic village getaway, a place to unplug and get reconnected! ~A Warm Welcome~ The property has recently been refurbished, decorated and comfortably furnished with its own thermostat, plenty of cosy blankets, throws, pillows and proper mugs for wintery stays, as well as wide angle windows and access to the garden patio and seating area for those hotter summery evenings. While we do not provide breakfast, we do provide coffee and tea to get you started and highly recommend visits to The Linton Kitchen Cafe & Bakery just across the street, as they make a far better cappuccino than we ever could! There are little touches through out the garden and property such as the Banksy reproductions on the outer walls of the house, and a lot of art, while the interior presents a modern minimalist bohemian tangibility. Guest access Guests have complete privacy and the upstairs suite to themselves. This is the perfect place for Self Isolation if necessary and we are happy to help arrange deliveries. Other things to note Extractor Fan We strongly advise use of the extractor fan when cooking as the smoke detector is very sensitive. Laundry Services are available. Microwave Available upon request. We can also offer guests use of a microwave if preferred or required. Internet While we have upgraded internet, this is still a small village in the English countryside, and reception is lost periodically.
