We want to offer you a stay based on proximity, sharing, ecology and authenticity. On the edge of Famenne, our family cottage is fully equipped and comfortable for a weekend and a dream vacation, close to the main attractions: Domaine de Chevetogne, Lesse, The caves and the animal park of Han-sur-Lesse, Furfooz Park. Check-in 5pm-7pm and Checkout 10am except Sunday The space Old farmhouse renovated in a family spirit, our rural gîte for 12 people (babies included) has 5 bedrooms (two double bedrooms, one bedroom with 2 single beds and two bedrooms with 3 single beds) and two bathrooms, one with a bathtub. Each room is an invitation to relax! The kitchen has everything you need. The dining room consists of a comfortable lounge area and a large table for twelve people. On the first floor, there is an area with lots of toys for the little ones. On the terrace, garden furniture, a brazier-plancha, a bread oven and artisanal pizza as well as a brazier allows you to enjoy the weather and the beautiful view of the garden. The owners, Thomas and Valérie, offer little extras to make the stay lighter and gentler on the environment, and which appeal to many of you: - Provide an electric car charging station - Provide an outdoor bread and pizza oven to make your evenings unique (don't hesitate to ask us for the recipe for a delicious pizza dough). - Recommend natural soaps to protect the lagoon (the property's individual wastewater treatment plant.) - Provide childcare equipment, to lighten the trunk and thus promote carpooling (three all-terrain strollers, a dorsal baby carrier for hikes, three high chairs, relax, baby bath, three folding cribs, etc.)… - One week before your arrival, offer to order your groceries via the e-shop of the village cooperative (vegetables, farm butter, craft beers, apple juice, cider, bread, craft, milk and farm cheeses, meat, salting, etc.). And that's good, the cooperative is open at the same time as your arrival on Friday. - A space is available for children with lots of games and books for children, with a special focus on nature and ecology. Outdoor games too. - Offer, via reservation, baskets for gourmet treats (picnic basket with local products) - Provide zero-waste containers for bulk enthusiasts. All shops in the area accept them. - Introduce you to local actors committed to transition and respect for the environment. Here, sorting is fun: offer organic waste to chickens and locate eggs, or collect plastic caps for the benefit of people with disabilities, for example. The cottage is adjoining the owners' home. Shared between the cottage and the family, the large garden is an ideal meeting place. Welcome, meeting, sharing, healing, simple pleasures. The cottage is also the ideal starting point for walks or bike rides: the Cresses ponds, the Domaine de Chevetogne with its many cabins, playgrounds for children, mini-golf and swimming pool, the Ravel, the Art Trails, etc. The vacation rental is located at an equal distance between Dinant (fabulous view of the Meuse from the Citadel) and Rochefort. It is also close to one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia, Celles and its magnificent feudal castle of Vêves as well as Furfooz Park with a magnificent panorama of the Lesse. A little further away but worth the detour: the Goyet Cave and its archaeological guides who passionately tell you about the many migrations of prehistoric men and women. Guest access Our guests have the entire cottage and the large garden in common with the owners, as well as a covered summer terrace and a shed for their bicycles, strollers, etc. For safety reasons, the owners' terrace and the nearby fish pond remain a private area. Other things to note Our house has the prestigious "Clé Verte" label and is recommended by the TAO Guide, specializing in sustainable travel. We offer you a comfortable experience in a preserved natural environment, with attention paid to respect for the planet. Our cottage does not provide linens, towels, kitchen towels, or bed linens. So you must not forget to bring them with you (2 double beds, 8 single beds). For hygiene reasons, sheets and pillowcases are mandatory, even if you bring sleeping bags!
