Close to Leeds & Wakefield, The Poplars is a cosy barn conversion dating back to 1835, nestled in the heart of the famous Rhubarb Triangle, close to the villages of Rothwell and Oulton. Full of charm and character, this home-from-home is perfect for short breaks, business stays, or longer visits. With a dedicated workspace and fast, reliable WiFi, it’s also ideal for remote working. The space Your Stay The Poplars offers guests two floors of private living space with beautiful views across the garden and surrounding fields. Downstairs Relax in the cosy space, complete with a wood-burning stove and a snug chair for two. French doors open directly onto the garden, creating the perfect space to unwind. The kitchenette includes: • Fridge-freezer • Microwave • Air fryer (please note there is no oven or hob) • Nespresso coffee machine with complimentary pods There’s also a Smart TV, music speaker, a cupboard full of board games, and a dedicated workspace with fast WiFi, making it ideal for both leisure and business stays. Fancy a night off from cooking? Simply order from the many local takeaways using the Just Eat app. Upstairs The light and airy open-plan bedroom features a king-size bed, high ceilings and direct stepped access to the garden. You’ll also find a TV, DVD player and Bluetooth speaker for relaxing evenings. The spacious bathroom includes a beautiful roll-top bath, separate walk-in shower, and complimentary toiletries. Outside The garden can be accessed from both floors of the barn. Enjoy several seating areas, including a patio and a larger terrace overlooking the fields—an ideal spot to watch the sunset. Blankets are provided for those cooler evenings. Parking Free on-street parking is available, or you’re welcome to use our driveway, which is suitable for a car or small van. (The Farm shop opposite serve hot breakfast sandwiches daily) NOTE - Limited kitchen facilities. No oven or hob. There is a microwave, slow cooker, nespresso coffee machine & pods, fridge-freezer, Air-fryer. Maximum guests two. 2 adults, or 1 adult and 1 child over 12. The accommodation is not child friendly. No pets allowed. Hair dryer & toiletry draw. Smart TV downstairs. TV and DVD player in the bedroom. Smart timer controlled radiators up and downstairs with under-floor heating in the bathroom. The fire is cosy! all guests are provided with plenty of fire wood. Additional bags can be purchased here for £6.
