Travelling in a group of 6 (or even more)? Want to have space, privacy but also to spend as much time together as possible? This should be the perfect option. We are delighted to offer you our newly refurbished cottages where you and your entire family can get to enjoy a fantastic break in the Suffolk countryside. Located within stunning grounds, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just a few miles away from the sea, this is the ideal way and place to spend some quality family time. Our cottages, Bertie and Spike, are newly converted, decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Located side by side, each cottage provides light and airy accommodation, and overall sleeps six guests (potentially 2 more if you request to have a sofa bed added). Babies are also welcome and worry not, we will do our best to supply the baby cots. And finally, it would be our pleasure to have your dogs as well (sorry, cats not allowed). Each cottage comes equipped with private facilities, lounge, open plan kitchen and a private patio. Add to that, apart from the pristine location you also get to have access to our tennis court. Upon request, you may also reserve this on an individual basis. • Bertie Cottage - 2 bedroom for 4 guests, 2 bathrooms. • Spike Cottage - 1 bedroom for 2 guests, 1 bathrooms. ***upon request we may be able to provide a sofa bed in the larger cottage. Kindly liaise with us prior. Note that additional costs may be incurred. Our cottages are located in the middle of Suffolk on the East Coast of England, only two and a half hours from London. Steeped in history and culture from the Vikings and the Romans, the barn, has in fact, even been mentioned in historical records dating as far back as 14th century. Its’ surrounding area provides a sensational location for birdwatchers, walkers, bikers and sailors but also an oasis of tranquillity for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Within our grounds, deers, pigs, rabbits, pheasants, partridges as well as the resident Muscovy ducks and Moore hens can all be seen. Even more, a herd of beautiful and inquisitive Red Poll cattle live on our field. To help you understand better, we have decided to add individual description for each of the cottages. Bertie Cottage – more information about our 2 bedroom cottage Set up as an open plan living room, the sitting area is furnished with two comfy sofas, coffee table, a wood burner for which a free basket of logs will be provided (more available for purchase on site), Freeview TV is available. The kitchen comes fully equipped with crockery and glassware, a dishwasher, full size oven, microwave and cleaning materials. The dining area is stunning with a large table for six. The cottage can accommodate 4 guests either in a combination of two king-size beds or four individual singles beds (please advise when booking). The master bedroom benefits from an ensuite shower room but there is also a second bathroom equipped with a bathtub. Needless to say, all bed linen, towels, tea towels are provided. Baby cots are also available upon requests. LONG STAYS As we strive to maintain the highest standards we impose that long-stays and bookings staying longer than 12 days have additional cleaning session(s) - scheduled fortnightly. An extra £150 will apply for each new cleaning session and this is not automatically calculated in the displayed rate. Spike Cottage – more information about our 1 bedroom cottage Set up as an open plan living room, the sitting area is furnished with one comfy sofa, coffee table, a wood burner for which one free basket of logs will be provided (more available for purchase on site), Freeview TV is available. The kitchen comes fully equipped with crockery and glassware, a dishwasher, full size oven, microwave and cleaning materials. The dining area is stunning with a large table for 2. The cottage can accommodate 2 guests. The master bedroom benefits from an ensuite shower room. Needless to say, all bed linen, towels, tea towels are provided. If you are bringing your child, please note that the bedroom is too small to accommodate a crib. More information about staying with us Each cottage benefits from a private garden equipped with table and chairs (great for warm days and BBQ) but also a tennis court. Please note that the tennis court is open seasonally and only available upon request. Should you wish to use it please let us know prior your arrival and do not forget to bring along your rackets and tennis balls. Please note that both cottages cottage this accommodation is offered on a non-smoking basis. The maximum occupancy for this cottage is maximum 4 people (one baby and/or dog is allows). Also, do note that should you be arriving and driving an electric car, you will NOT be able to charge it at our property. Should we discover these rules are not respected, you may be at risk of further charges. We hope you will decide to spend your time in Suffolk at our property.
