The space Cozy downstairs bedroom with private bathroom and separate backyard entrance. Great residential neighborhood, walking distance to downtown San Mateo and the train station. Regular queen bed with adjoining full bathroom, french doors lead to the back yard. Small but comfortable space, wi-fi available. The household does have two cats and there are chickens in a coop in the back yard. Ample street parking. We have installed a small refrigerator and microwave in the laundry area off the guest room. We have an older single family home in the Baywood knolls section of San Mateo, 10 miles from SFO, 20 miles south of San Francisco, 20 miles north of Palo Alto and Stanford University. My wife and I live upstairs. We are happy to visit and orient you to the neighborhood and the bay area, or not, as you wish. We both are frequently at work or out of town. Downtown San Mateo is a 15 or 20 minute walk with a vibrant restaurant and social scene. Cal trains runs from downtown San Mateo to San Francisco at least every hour or so, $5 each way. We do have a Sam Trans bus stop two blocks away that runs on weekdays. No Smoking please. Please note: It is one of three downstairs bedrooms. You can hear people walking around upstairs in the house through the ceiling.
