Our Element themed yurts are Glamorous Camping at it's best! Comfortably furnished, heated by a log burning stove, lined and insulated. Communal facilities include shower room, fully equipped kitchen, dining area ,and composting loo block. We offer discounts to families with children under 12, please get in touch for more details. NB if you require additional sets of bedding, e.g 2 beds for 2 guests, we will charge £15 per set to cover the additional laundry. The space Our Earth and Water themed yurts, are comfortably furnished to accommodate up to 4 +1 (please note each yurt contains a double bed, double futon and 'z' bed for the +1!) They also have storage for your clothes and belongings. Lighting inside the yurts by solar fairy lights and candle lanterns. Cosy and warm thanks to the 5kw log burning stove and insulation. Guest access The yurt site is situated within the grounds of our home, which also has an annexe which we rent out as a holiday let. There is a yurt designated parking area and direct access via footpaths to the yurts and utilities. We have made every effort to make the site and it's facilities as comfortable and accessible to all as we can, but please remember this is still an outside camping experience with some slopes and uneven ground. The 3 yurts have shared utility buildings which include an electric shower, kitchen with fridge and electric cooker, composting toilet block and dining area. The utility buildings have mains electricity (part supplied via solar power), and hot and cold running water Each yurt is built upon its own deck having been placed to provide privacy and a good distance between them. They are insulted and lined to provide a comfortable ambient temperature no matter the Skye weather! Each yurt and pathway are lit by solar fairy lights, lamps and lanterns. Other things to note Although we have done everything we can think of to make sure you are as comfortable as possible during your stay with us, it is worth remembering that this is still camping!! The yurts are insulated and lined with a toasty wood burner, but visits to the toilets and kitchen etc still mean going outside. Please make sure you bring suitable clothing and footwear ( think waterproofs, wellies and warm clothing). It is also very dark once the sun goes to bed, so torches ( although we do have some to use) are useful. From late may until September we have midges, so insect repellent is a must. The days are long this far North in the summer, really short in the winter, so if you struggle to sleep when the sun has risen, I would suggest a sleeping mask. Registration Details HI-30292-F
