Description

A peaceful Moorish retreat, dating back over 500 years and tucked away in the mountains but close to the beach. Lujar is the only pueblo with sea views on this coastline. Free use of beautiful village pool close by, tennis courts, basket ball and football pitch in the village. The house sleeps 4 adults and 1 on the deaf bed but there is the option to open up a third bedroom with en suite which extends the house to sleep 7- please discuss to see if this is an option and to get a price. The space The Casita is a lovely village house decorated in Moorish Andalucian style. There are two bedrooms, one double bed and the other with two twins. There is also a pull out bed in the sitting room. The house has one bathroom. A small third bedroom can be opened up with a double bed and an en suite shower room - this leads from the apartment sitting room. It is part of the main house but can be sectioned off so it is only accessible to the apartment and is private. There is an open sitting room, fully equipped kitchen/diner with a small dining table and breakfast bar seating four. It has a small breakfast terrace with table and awning and a staircase up to a large sun terrace with shaded areas, hammocks, 4 sun loungers, cacti, a dining table for 6 and an amazing view of mountains and sea. There are fans and radiators and air conditioning units in all rooms. It has a TV with Netflix, Prime and Disney etc and a DVD player and free wi fi but no live TV. Parking is a few minutes walk from the house - paths are steep as house is formed out of the mountain. The village communal swimming pool, tennis and basket ball courts and football pitch are a short walk away. The pool is open June until September. There is a door in the apartment and a gate on the terrace that link the casita to the house next door called Casa Azul. These are locked. Lujar is a small, traditional country village nestling in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. It’s surrounded by almond trees, olive groves and ancient cobbled mule tracks that weave their way through the valley. The house has large terraces with views of the sea. It is completely private and has its own entrance Although it's a short drive to the shops, you can buy fresh bread, meat, fish etc from one of the vans that set up and sell to the villagers every day from the square. There is a late night kiosk by the church 2 bar restaurants in the village and one at the pool. The village is 45 mins drive to Granada, 10 mins drive to the coast. Malaga is 1 hour 45 mins drive, Grenada 60 mins and Almeria 90 mins. It is 60 mins to the Alhambra and the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada. Guest access Guests can use the village pool, tennis courts, football pitch and bars. There is free wifi in the house, DVD and Netflix Prime etc comfy places to relax and 3 sun terraces.
