Private Quiet Florida Cottage
The Cottage at Pineapple House is a charming 1 bedroom cottage. You'll enjoy the quiet tropical atmosphere while still being close to great eateries and the lively bustle of West Palm Beach. Only 2 blocks from the intercoastal, short ride to either Palm Beach or Lake Worth beaches, 5 minutes from the airport. The cottage is separate from the house, so total privacy for guests, including a front patio and a secluded back patio. Lush tropical foliage make this cottage private and quiet. Cook here or go out to the great restaurants within walking distance. Enjoy chilling on the private patios, or start a fun excursion to many West Palm destinations. Your private gate and walkway opens to a lovely patio with eating table, chairs, and a lighted umbrella. In the back of the cottage is another private space with 2 chairs, sun shade, small table, and lanterns at night. Welcome to Pineapple House. We (your hosts) are working artists. Wally is a guitar maker and I am a ceramicist. There is always something interesting going on, so feel free to check into our studios while you are here. You might not see much of us, but we will always available for your questions or concerns. I have provided an informational book telling you what entertainments are available in the area, but just ask if you want more information. this cottage is well located minutes from West Palm, Palm Beach and Lake Worth Beach. Our neighborhood is called SoSo (South of Southern). At first, we thought that was pretty lame, but it has grown on us and we love it here. Ask anyone about the Dixie Grill or Howley's, they will tell you how great they are, and they are a very short walking distance from the cottage. 2 blocks North is Phipps Park and 2 blocks East is Flagler Drive, perfect for a stroll along the water or biking to West Palm Beach and all the stores and restaurants. Going South, we are 2.5 miles away from Lake Worth, a charming little town full of quaint stores and foodie eateries. Beaches are very close and water sports abound. There are several modes of public transportation offered in the city of West Palm Beach, connecting you to locations within the city, as well as the surrounding areas: taxi, limousine, bus (PalmTran), and train (Tri-Rail). PalmTran is a fixed route and connection service that won the 2006 Urban Community Transportation of the Year Award for its "innovative and creative service to the community." Depending on the time of year, PalmTran carries 25,000 to 35,000 passengers a year. PalmTran is located at 3201 Electronics Way. PalmTran runs seven days a week, except for some holidays,.For the safety of the passengers, it is equipped with surveilance cameras. Tri-Rail is a commuter service joining Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. And Brightline, a high speed commuter with no local stops also connects West Palm Beach, Lauderdale and soon, Miami. Go to Fort Lauderdale for the day or just for dinner...Brightline is a great way to get there. Of course, there is Uber. All the art in the cottage is original, mostly by local artists. We have tried to create a comfortable and attractive space for you to enjoy, with a feel for the tropics.
