There is an abundance of beautiful walks with waterfalls and a lush landscape. But it's only a 30 minute drive to the lively city centres of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. Not suitable for pets. The space Brockieside is a stunning hideaway in the hills overlooking Glasgow and Edinburgh. Built around 1806, Brockieside is a row of three adjoining shepherds' stone cottages one of which has been converted into a beautiful holiday home. Sitting in 1.5 acres of private ground and set high in the Kilsyth Hills, the cottage has spectacular views with ample outside space for private parking, alfresco dining. You are surrounded by beautiful waterfall walks and lush countryside but it is only a 30 minute drive to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. The contemporary interior with wooden floors and central heating throughout has an open plan kitchen/living area with an electric cooker, beech worktops and butler sink. Down a short corridor is a living/dining room (with great views over the valley) with a double sofa-bed, TV, dining table, and stylish en-suite washbasin. Extra storage space is available in a double wardrobe also containing extra pillows and blankets for your comfort. Stairs from the kitchen lead to a beautiful attic conversion comprising a double bedroom with king-sized double bed and memory foam mattress, Vellux window and wardrobe. Opposite the bedroom is a lovely warm bathroom with a free standing Victorian roll-top bath with shower attachment. Bed linen and towels are provided. You will also find a range of specialist teas and goodies to enjoy. Organic fed free range eggs made by a small troupe of specialist hens who live on site! There is a wealth of local historical attractions and interesting places to visit within short distances. There are also supermarkets, restaurants, parks and a train station locally. Kilsyth High street has a chemist, butchers, a fishmonger, a bakery and greengrocer. Guest access Guests have access to the Holiday cottage and all of the 1.6 acres of surrounding private land and gardens. Other things to note NOT SUITABLE FOR PETS
