The further west you walk from Borik area, the quieter it gets. Diklo as a part of the city with the most beautiful houses and villas for rent, still has plenty of bars and restaurants, while Kožino is a refined area of villas. Kolovare Beach is the traditional town beach, located just outside the hotel Kolovare, east of the Old Town. The beach is sandy and pebbly with paved parts. Just above the beach there is a green area and a deep shade where people can hide when it’s too hot. If you have a car, north of Zadar you can choose either the crystal, pine-fringed waters at Petrčane, or sandy bays at Zaton, Nin and Privlaka.
