Mountain cabin by Lake Thingvellir

Only 45 minutes drive from Reykjavik City, you will find this authentic cozy cabin on a mountain slope above Lake Thingvellir. Family-owned and built-in the year 1973, it has been kept in its original state. Placed on a 1/2 acre of land surrounded by forest, with a unique and fantastic lake view (and the Northern lights when conditions are right in the winter time). The cabin is close to Thingvellir National Park (15 min drive) and Golde Circle sights (55 min drive). The space The small rustic cabin is ideal for those who want to get away from it all and get close to nature. It is located on a mountain slope so you have to be able to walk up a walking path. The cabin has 2 bedrooms, where the walls do not reach the ceiling (for heating reasons); one with a double bed and a bunk bed, the other with a small twin bed and a single bed. A foldable baby crib is also available. Bathroom with a shower, kitchen with a fridge, hot plate, microwave, and a small table oven. Outside is a charcoal BBQ grill for your outdoor cooking. Guest access The guests will have an access to the whole property during their stay.
