Witsee is a quintessential white washed beach cottage nestled into the Mile16 beach dune. Its beach deck on the dune offers wrap-around views of the atlantic ocean and beautiful pink salt pans at its doorstep. Stylish and thoughfully equipped, this beach stay has it all! The space The beach (high water mark) is just 15 steps from your back door over the beach dune. Large beach deck for sundowners or sunrise with pectacular views. Cottage lies snug behind the private beach dune for ample protection against the west coast winds - a local secret to enjoying outside barbeques more often! Wide open spaces makes for luxurious outside wine and dining or simply celebrate the african sun with a barbeque. An outside shower (hot and cold) simplifies beach life. Ample safe uncovered off-street parking. One of the safest villages along this coast (least reports of crime). White washed and recently renovated...the simple luxury of the cottage will charm you from the word hello. Each spacious bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and own private entrance from the garden. Two rooms have queen size beds, the other three single beds - all with pure cotton linen and towels. All rooms have their own en-suite bathrooms with showers and toilet. Winds and wide beach make for great beach beach/water sport location Guest access Part of a large 0.6 hectare property housing a second cottage. Surrounded by beautiful public open spaces - fynbos veld, private beach and salt pans. The property offers private beach access and borders the national park (Churchhaven), salt pans and yzerfontein village. A private wooden beach deck with informal seating is located directly on the beach dune 5 meters from the cottage. This makes beach access for young and old enticing and hassle free. The beautiful views of the beach, salt pans, village and national park is simply amazing from the top of the dune. Note: Ease of beach access from the top of the dune depends on the ocean's impact on the beach dune at any point in time - so this varies as sea conditions vary. Access to Yzerfontein town main beach is a short 5min drive along a decent dirt road or a 5 min walk along the beach. This means lots of wide open spaces to entertain, riding, walking or just beach bathing. The priviledge of the location preserved by marine and nature conservation, requires guests to adhere to conservation rules wrt protection of the dunes, salt pans and animal life around.
