Smithy Cottage

Cosy Somerset cottage on the edge of the Mendips, perfect for family fun with generous open plan kitchen-dining-living space, second traditional 'Snug' living room with wood burning stove, separate huge games room (pool table, table tennis, table football). Home from home. The space Enter the cottage through the stable door into the main "family" room; fully fitted, generously sized kitchen and dining area (seats 8). Downstairs cloakroom and utility cupboard to the right. Upstairs to the mezzanine sitting room/3rd bedroom. To the left go through door to the Snug/living room with wood burner. Comfy large L-shaped sofa and additional table and chairs at the rear of room. Also has exit to courtyard via old front door (kept locked). Upstairs to main double bedroom, 2nd bedroom (bunk beds) and family bathroom with bath and electric shower. Guest access Access to Smithy Cottage is via a gated entrance between two buildings; The Pogglers (to the left) and The Smithy (to the right). The gate opens inwards, towards the cottage and parking is beyond the cottage to the left, in front of the out-building that houses the Games room and a garage (private - not for guest use). Please close the gate after you. If there are dogs in the courtyard when you arrive, ring the bell on the gate and the neighbours at The Smithy will take them in to allow you to enter without letting the dogs out onto the road. Parking is for one car ONLY and the driveway is shared with our neighbours Nick and Helen at The Smithy, so please park as directed above. Additional parking can be found on the village High Street, up towards to the church on the left, just a few seconds away from the gate. Please do not drive more than one car into the courtyard, even for unloading as this will make it very tricky to exit the courtyard safely.
