Enhjørningen horsecenter is a quiet farm which is idyllically located in Lågendalen. We have 4 kind Shetland ponies, sheep, rabbitt and chicken. There are 2 cottages that are located together as a small cozy area.The chalet has three bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen,where you can open the double doors to the porch,enjoy the morning sun with a cup of coffee, relax and lower your shoulders. Your own bathroom just three steps outside the cottage. Towel and cleaning out are incl. The space The Lågendalen is a fantastic place that is close to everything. Supermarket and fast-food restaurant are 5 minutes by car and it is only 30 minutes’ drive to Larvik, Sandefjord (+ Sandefjord airport Torp) and Porsgrunn. Tønsberg and Skien are only 45 minutes away by car, so there is many opportunities for an excursion. If it gets to warm and you want a swim, there is a nice and refreshed lake about 5 minutes’ drive from us, Here you will find a diving board and a small beach. It is possible for children to rent a pony for horseback riding or to help out with the horses when they need food or goes in for the night. We have great hiking terrain in the area (Musekollen/ Jordstøyp) and fishing rivers/lakes close by. Høyt & Lavt is Scandinavians largest climbing park consisting of 16 courses, 254 elements & 34 zip-lines. You can experience an active and exciting day in the treetops and is suitable for everyone, with only a 15-minute drive from us. In the same area you will also find fantastic Kjærra Waterfalls Park which is famous for its salmon. The park goes on both sides off the river, where we have the pedestrian bridge at Kjærra crossing the river. This 132-metre long timber bridge with a free span of 91,6 metres across the Numedalslågen river is a light and narrow pedestrian bridge with long span will be prone to horizontal movement, which is especially noticeable when groups of several people are crossing the bridge, and which is amplified when they compensate by walking with a «sailor’s gait». The bridge is an architectural masterpiece surrounded by the outstanding natural beauty of the forest, waterfalls and leaping salmon.
