The studio is a modern self contained cedar clad dwelling with a spacious high ceilinged room with beautiful light coming in from large windows out to a view of the garden and sea , private deck to sit in sun. Kitchenette , office area, Inbuilt speakers, free unlimited fast broadband and a very comfortable king sized bed. Excellent location to walk up to bush walk or down street to beach promenade, city, museums, cafes , restaurants & arts. Self contained with own entrance and deck ( separating the main family home from the cedar studio). Safe and secure . Free WiFi. Kitchenette has a bench sink, fridge, microwave, crockery, glasses and cutlery. You will be able to make a cup of tea or plunger coffee or wander down the road to sit at a cafe. Wall mounted heating ( and extra in cupboard in needed), iron and board , coffee table and two chairs. Separate dressing room and desk area, separate bathroom with great water pressure in shower . Safe street parking with first 2 hours free during weekdays , no charge on weekends, if you want to leave your car for longer you can purchase a parking coupon either from down the street at the Oriental Bay Store or you can download the PayMyPark App on your device and do it online, daily cost is $8.50. Weekly or monthly coupons can also be purchased online or Oriental Bay Store. You can lay in bed and hear the native birds and look down at the water , it is a very relaxing space. We love being able to walk along the waterfront to get to Oriental Bay for a swim, great coffee, cafes and restaurants, Freyburg Pool and Gym, Te Papa National Museum , Embassy Movie theatre, City Art Gallery, New World Supermarket, weekend markets all within a 2 to 20 minute walk radius. Lambton Quay shopping , the Cable Car ( which can take you up to the Botanical Gardens) and Wellington Museum is all walkable from the studio. If you do not feel like walking there is public transport at end of our street or you can hire an electric scooter on the way. Bush walks start 2 minutes away from our gate, one of which can take you up to the Mount Victoria Lookout - a 15-20 minute walk ,giving panoramic views across Wellington. The property sits on a corner section and is very quiet. If you need any washing done just let me know and I will happy to do it for you and for longer stays we can organise the use of the washing machine/dryer as arranged.
