Description
Absolute and Elsewhere are two adjoining cottages created from a recently restored Grade 2 listed farm building on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Lullington. There are 24 houses, a 12th century church, no street lights and footpaths through open countryside in every direction. The village adjoins the Orchardleigh Estate - a popular wedding venue, 3 miles from the market town of Frome and 12 miles from the cultural centre of Bath. Longleat is about 15 minutes away, Stonehenge about half an hour. The space There are two bedrooms, each with a standard double bed and two bathrooms - one en-suite shower room, the other a main bathroom. The cottage is wheelchair accessible and there are no internal steps. The cottage next door also has two bedrooms. Both can be rented together (subject to availability) for flexible accommodation for a larger group. Guest access The entire cottage is self-contained along with the fenced garden. Parking is adjacent. There is also access to a paddock and field for dog walking and many footpaths are nearby, one from the front door. Other things to note There is no public transport in the village and no pub. So you will need a car! There are supplies of tea and coffee in the house but we don’t provide milk or other ‘welcome pack items’. Why not? Well, we used to but we ended up throwing most of it away because different guests like different things - for example, skimmed milk, oat milk, organic milk, etc, etc. So we felt this was unsustainable. We hope you understand.
