The space For almost 400 years our farm has been a home for families making their living from the forest, the waters and the land surrounding it. Throughout history new houses have been built and old houses moved from one place to another in order to make living better and easier. On our farm you can experience unique buildings such as our water mill and a small house for the keeping of peat. Among our houses lies the main building from 1850 which is typical for the area of Nordfjord. If you wish, we are more than happy to show you around on our farm. "Jakobstova" Kirsti and Idar Holen wish you welcome to the simple, calm and relaxing life at our farm. Robjørgane Farm Houses is situated 10 kilometres west of the centre of Stryn. The farm is beautifully placed 400 metres up on the mountainside, overlooking the Nordfjord. Here, at Robjørgane and in the nearby surroundings, we have many good possibilities to experience Norwegian culture and nature. Stryn and Nordfjord are among the most popular tourist attractions in Norway. The farm is mainly log houses built as early as the 18th and 19th century. From the unique child friendly housing possibilities you get a spectacular panorama view of mountains and glaciers surrounding the Nordfjord. The cultural landscape offers many different plants, including rare orchids. The farm is run ecologically with sheep and a few chickens. We also maintain one of the old traditional ways of drying hay outdoors. Living on the farm you have many possibilities of mountain hiking right outside your door with mountain lakes with free fishing opportunities only an hour walk away.
