Becca's Driftless Manor

Becca's Driftless Manor is close to La Crescent Minnesota and La Crosse Wisconsin. Three miles from La Crescent the drive up our hill provides spectacular views of the Mississippi River Valley. Our place is minutes from: the airport, great dining, family-friendly activities, apple orchards, three college campuses, shopping, river fun in the summer and snow skiing in the winter. You can enjoy the fresh air or cozy up to a warm fire. We can also accommodate those traveling with equines. The space Our two story home has five bedrooms rarely used, that we're sharing with visitors. Upstairs there are four rooms that are rented to only one party at a time. Three bedrooms are about 14' x 14' with large windows looking out at beautiful country scenes. The fourth bedroom is smaller and setup for children. There is a crib and bunk beds with a double futon on the bottom. The bathroom is private for guests renting the upper bedrooms. There is also a shared half-bath on the first floor. We live on the first floor but welcome visitors to share the kitchen, two large family rooms both with TVs, one with a large copper-top bar and wine cellar and the other with a large fireplace and piano. Guests are invited to enjoy the entire property. The entire place is also available for large groups, we've accommodated up to 14 at one time - all in their beds with two and one-half baths. Guest access The rented bedrooms, upstairs bathroom, laundry facilities, a grand piano, a gourmet kitchen, first floor family/great room with large tv, sun room overlooking the river, formal dining room, and outside garden, patio, fire pit, and other sitting areas. The property overlooks the Mississippi River Valley and is next to a vineyard and a farm and provides lots of privacy. During your stay My husband or I will greet guests and provide a tour and explain amenities and be available as much as needed. Please let me know if you prefer privacy or visiting as we'll accommodate your preferences. We work during the week days but we're flexible for early check-ins or other needs. We have personal space that we stay in if guests prefer a private stay. Other things to note The bedrooms are up a standard flight of stairs, there are ceramic and wood floors throughout and carpet in the bedrooms, so house shoes or slippers are recommended, outdoor shoes can be left at the door. There are two house dogs that are very friendly, and two outdoor cats that try to get into the house. The horses are also very friendly but should not be visited inside their fence as they can unintentionally hurt. The fence is electric and can also hurt if touched.
