The space On arrival, Notre-Dame looks at you, close enough for you to see the medieval stone catch the last of the sun, the champagne from our wine maker friend Sebastien Giroust is chilled, fresh macarons are on the counter, and the light poets wrote about is all yours. Open the secure door of the building with your code, walk along the painted walls of the entrance, take a few steps up to the elevator, go to the 2rd floor, then a few stairs down to your door. Start the morning with Mariage Frères tea or Nespresso in Royal Albert Old Country Roses porcelain, watching the stone turn from grey to gold while you figure out the day and the Notre Dame Cathedral looks gently back at you. Next day, you just came from the farmer’s market, cook something slow, and Notre Dame is still there, with her peaceful and protective presence. At night, you sink into a King Koil bed with Le Jacquard Français bed sheets, a quiet air conditioning breeze behind the walls that saw Louis XIV. The street’s life disapears behind the double glazed windows, the stars shine thought the roof windows, close the electric blinds : the night is soft… A tip : pack a carry-on — there's a washer-dryer, in your love nest for 2, no one else's.
